Worst Dr. ever. Gave me plenty of referrals. Got a new Dr and after 20 minutes it’s confirmed that my arteries are 70% blocked. Shame on me for putting up with her

My husband went to Dr. Spaedy for a routine well visit and was charged for a $150 sick visit because he asked about his acne. She did not finish the physical exam and refused to change the code so we had to pay for a sick visit instead. We were told many different things such as it was because he was a new patient (this should not matter as it is a well visit) or because it was a sick visit which is also not true. I feel that he should have been able to ask her a simple question about ance before being charged as a completely different visit. We will never be seeing her again.

She was just okay. I didn't find her bedside manner or examination to be particularly reassuring or thorough. The reason for the one star review is that while she was unavailable I made an appointment with the nurse practitioner at the same practice. The office called and told me that Dr. Spaedy doesn't allow her patients to see the NP and canceled my appointment. How she has the authority to tell me who I can and cannot see in the same practice I don't know or understand but it completely turned me off and broke what little trust I had for her.

I went to Dr. Spaedy because of a fever, a cut on my thumb that was oozing green slime, and knots that were forming under the skin of my forearm. She told me that the knots were “cysts” of some sort, and that the fever was “unrelated” to the cut on my thumb which in her opinion “looked fine” and would likely resolve itself on its own. One week later, I saw a different doctor. He diagnosed a mycobacterium marinum infection that had spread throughout my body. I was prescribed massive doses of antibiotics that I had to take for six months. I also had to have surgery on my thumb to remove the massive amount of bacteria that was lodged there. I asked the second doctor what would’ve happened if I hadn’t sought another opinion. He shook his head and said, “You would have continued to get sicker and sicker. The final outcome would not have been favorable.” Therefore, my opinion of Dr. Spaedy’s diagnostic skills isn’t favorable, either.

She has an issue with you if you uses Complimentary Medicine (Alternative + Traditional), to the point of dismissing you from her practice if you take direction from an Alternative Provider.

Dr. Spaedy does not seem interested in anything I have to say. When I had a problem that required another specialty, she seemed offended when I told her I had seen one within the group and had forgotten that she had sent me to him. I am looking to switch doctors, but haven't been able to get in to two that I chose. I would like to stay within the group, but may have to leave as I am uncomfortable depending on Dr. Spaedy.

I used to see Dr. Spaedy a few years ago but decided to see another provider within the group. I met up with her as an alternative as my primary provider was unavailable. She was rude, didn't seek any resolve for a mix-up, made me feel belittled and uncomfortable. I decided not to continue with the exam and walked out to later make an appointment with my primary provider. I will NEVER see her again and would NOT recommend her to any of my family or friends.
