Dr. Melinda Miller-Thrasher, MD

I had been a patient for less than a month:1. Was getting a phone call, a text message AND an email everyday to remind me to set up an appointment2. After I asked them to stop contacting me because I am getting a new work schedule, they called me again 2 days later3. Saw the NP who didn't appear to have looked at my chart at all and kept getting info wrong & contradicted prior information given to me at the prior appointment4. Waited over an hour for pap, but was the first appointment of the day5. Needed a procedure done & asked for it to be at location A for insurance reasons & told them in the next 2-3 months6. Was scheduled for procedure at location B without my knowledge or consent as well as all pre op & post op appointments. They said they were trying to be proactive. After the surgery schedule, I called & said I was looking for another provider. I had almost one appointment a week, & felt pressured to keep scheduling even though I explained multiple times I have wait.

I had been going to this person for 17 years, not knowing for who knows how long, I had fibroids! I was always wondering why I was unable to conceive when I knew it should have happened at a certain point. When I would get annuals, all she would do is do an exam using fingers, my current doctor said she should have been able to feel them because 1 is the size of a lemon! They are covering my cervices and due to the fibroid count and my current age, my child barring years came and went, and I am childless! The exams should have been done via ultrasounds, especially during the mid 2000's at least, yet Melinda failed to do any of that and again year after year, I went on with having fibroids and didn't even know it. I ended up finding out four years ago when I left this doctor and went to a reputable one! I am glad that I left and found out that I have fibroids, who I am the sad about is that I wasted all of those years going to this person that was doing shoddy work! Black women be ware!

The Doctor may be nice, but this office is only interested in money. They forced us to pay almost $1,000 for a delivery that they claimed would pay for the delivery itself. We get the hospital bill and this money was never used to pay it, and they overcharged us by $400. Now, they are endangering my wife's health because it's been over a week with no response to refilling her medication. They've already taken food out of my child's mouth and hurt people due to incompetence, they will not hesitate to do it to yours.

I have been a patient of Dr. Miller-Thrasher's for several years now- she cared for me during a complicated pregnancy that resulted in the birth of my son! She also provided me with superior care before my pregnancy & thereafter. She is extremely knowledgeable about the management of fibroids and menopause so i have referred family members and friends to her for their treatment - they have all been satisfied with their care. Recently, I saw Dr. Miller-Thrasher for a plastic surgery consult. I was so anxious about the visit and shy to speak about the new topic. However, Dr. Miller-Thrasher (literally) welcomed me with open arms to a BEAUTIFUL med spa and discussed options with me that I had not considered beforehand. She took the time to consider how the surgery would affect me in the long run, how it may affect me having children in the future, and explained all the risk & benefits associated with the procedures. This gave me the comfort I needed to make the best decision.

I’m so happy I switched to Dr. Miller and Innovative Women's Healthcare Solutions through my pregnancy. The service was a revelation from the previous office I visited. I felt welcomed and cared for. Dr. Miller was amazing. She always put me at ease and made me feel comfortable. She made the entire birth experience exactly what I was hoping for as far as it was in her power to do so. She was calm and encouraging during delivery and coached me through the most beautiful experience of my life.

Dr. Miller is my doctor. Excellent service, very professional attitude. Normal wait time, which wasn't long. I highly recommend her service.

Run!!! Only interested in money. She orders multiple, unnecessary tests, gives results a year later and is extremely disorganized. Inconsistent handling of test results! During a pelvic exam she even asked if I was interested in her giving me lipo. She is always trying to sell some type of service. Extremely long wait times...you can easily spend 3 hrs for a visit. Been a patient over 10 years...Never returning! Save yourself the drama. Read her google reviews.

During my last visit, after sharing my concerns, Dr. Thrasher in a rushed manner discussed solutions (briefly) but was passionate about sharing her business opportunities and asked if I wanted to participate. That was my very last visit. I'm writing this today because it's been years since seeing her and I still get calls from her automated service even though I've asked several times to be removed.

Dr. Miller is one of a kind. She knows her job inside and out. A doctor with excellent knowledge, politeness, and intelligence. Would recommend to everyone. Thanks for your attitude and patience.

Dr. Miller delivered both of my children 20 years ago. I saw an article about her in the news and inspired me to write about her. Dr. Miller was fabulous to my family, personal attention, and a loving human being. Dr. Miller assisted me with a difficult pregnancy and made sure she was in the delivery room even when she was not feeling well. If this is your first baby or your last she will treat you like the most important patient in the world. I Love My Doctor!

I have been a very happy patient of Dr. Miller for over 14 years. She is simply the best. She listens, never rushes through an appointment and very thoroughly explains any options on the table. I also love her nurse. I trust them explicitly.

Dr. Miller is thorough in her examinations, listens to your concerns, and is conscious of your economic situation. She calls you promptly with your test results and informs you of all your options.

Dr. Miller has been my GYN since 1992. I have had nothing but good experiences since seeing her. She takes a wholistic approach to my health care and always has valuable inputs for my care. As a fellow healthcare provide, she has encouraged me and taught me. She is readily available and always supportive. Her bedside manner is stellar.

I have been a patient of Dr. Miller-Thrasher since 1994. She delivered my daughter, who is now her patient, 21 years ago. At a time when I had lost faith in the medical system, she restored my faith by consistently providing top quality care for me, my sister and my daughter. A couple of years ago, a member of her staff acted inappropriately and I brought it to Dr. Thrasher's attention. She addressed the issue right away and then followed up with me to make sure I was ok and shared the steps they used to rectify the situation. She has set the bar that I measure other physicians with and I would recommend her without reservation.

I have been a patient of Dr. MMT for 15 years. She delivered both my babies. She is not only extremely knowledgeable and professional, but she also cares. She really cares. I had a few complications during my second pregnancy last year and she talked to me on weekends and late at night to walk through what to do. I went to the hospital at least 4 times for premature labor and she was there with me or was in regular communication with the hospital each time. She has seen me through irregular Pap smears, lumps, and good times too! I love her and I’m so lucky I walked into her office 15 years ago.

I have been seeing Dr. Miller Thrasher for over 14 yrs and she has always been so nice and patient. She is very informative. The staff is friendly and the office always looks good. I highly recommend her.

The staff was wonderful, and the wait time wasn’t long. Nothing but professional and empathetic. We need more doctors in our city like Dr. Thrasher and her staff!

Dr. Melinda Thrasher has been my OB/GYN for over 12 years. My experience started off great! Recently, I have noticed a decrease in customer service and patient urgency. I was there a week ago to have mammogram. I asked the nurse assistant to check my blood pressure, as I felt alittle strange. My reading was very high. I asked her recommendation, as to what I should do. She asked if I wanted to schedule a follow up appointment. There was no sensitivity to my immediate health, as a high pressure is not good. She didn't suggest discussing with the doctor. This was a total lack of concern for my health. I also contacted the office to request a call back from Dr. Miller the day before Thanksgiving. The person answering the phone said that she couldn't guarantee that I would receive a call back, as this was the hoilday, the office was closing early and the doctors would be spending time with their family. This was very disappointing....no concern for the patients.
