Dr. Melissa Blom, MD

Get told that I'm on thin ice with the office, because I canceled appointments a day before I came, I'm reality was canceled on TWICE by the office as I was standing in front of their receptionist.

Dr. Blom has always been helpful to me, and the staff have gone above and beyond to help me when my insurance gives me issues.

She is awesome and very thorough. I am a nurse so I have a better understanding of what that means. I would highly recommend her!!

She was a no show, no advance cancellation. I had a 10:20am appointment today, arrived at 10:00am, had already checked in online. When I arrived the receptionist looked at me like a deer in headlights, told her my name, and asked if my appointment was cancelled since there was no one there. She advised she had called, upon asking when, she said about an hour ago. I told her I lived a long distance from the office and had apparently already left. There was no offer of rescheduling, so I simply left. When I arrived home later there was nothing in my phone log incoming to either my home phone or cell. Obviously it was a blatant lie. If there weren’t such a shortage of rheumatologists I would go elsewhere. I really don’t think anyone cares, they get paid regardless of what they do.

I've been treated by rheumatologists for 25 years including Mayo clinic. My diagnosis is unclear but the effects of autoimmune disease are evident. She wanted to remove me from all medications, watch my lab work, and re diagnosis me herself. She was dismissive about what treatments I have had success with and others I'd tried and failed. Arrogant and insensitive.

Dr. Blom is very knowledgeable and explains the reasoning behind her recommendations. She is willing to explore holistic options.

Office cancels appointments with less than 24 hour notice. Can not reschedule for 6 weeks. Dr cant manage to call in med refills in 7 days (non holiday week). Unacceptable
