I had a few specific questions about meds and she wanted to talk through each of my concerns as they came up. It was refreshing to not have to ask her to slow down to take my questions - she was proactive in making sure I was involved in each of the decisions.

Dangerously negligent
Could've cost my babies their lives. Failed to catch symptoms of a serious liver condition, cholestasis, which can carry 25X risk of stillbirth. When I put together the diagnosis myself, Heidi repeatedly told me she wasn't convinced and I was overthinking things, and made several worryingly inaccurate comments about cholestasis. I had to push to have labs done and she refused to start me on medication, even pushing back against another doctor prescribing meds when I reached out in desperation. I ended up going into preterm labor at 30w0d (a risk of cholestasis) after being told by Heidi on multiple phone calls I wasn't in early labor. If we'd gone to the hospital sooner, we may have at least been able to get shots to develop my babies' lungs. When we finally got my results after delivery, I was in the highest risk category with bile acid levels 35X the threshold for diagnosis. Heidi never reached out to acknowledge or order follow up labs to ensure my liver function returned to normal.

She came highly recommended, but disappointing
We had the exact same experience as another reviewer:'She never introduced herself to us during our first visit and I thought we were talking to another nurse. She also talked about herself most of the appointment (not her medical experience, but her personal dietary choices).'She also made me feel so stupid for asking about a 3D ultrasound. She kept asking why I was asking that and why would I think I would get one before finally admitting that they used to offer them but then got too busy. Why not start with that instead of making me feel stupid? Needless to say I didn't feel comfortable with asking my other questions.Starting to look for another OB halfway through my pregnancy

Traumatizing birth
Dr Heidi wanted me to have an early c section due to age and weight without even knowing me and my health. I was running regularly and in the best physical shape of my life but due to BMI and age she made her decision. It took me over a year to heal from c section and I still think she made it happen by boosting my pitocin up really high because it was almost morning and would interfere with her daily appts. When I refused and begged to be allowed to go full term I was treated like a selfish baby killer. I was mocked and treated poorly by staff. I understand our healthcare system puts Drs under immense pressure and it is not designed for unplanned births but I would never have a child again in a traditional hospital let alone a religious hospital that thinks your life is less important than the fetus. If you want natural then look elsewhere.

I met Dr. Heidi during my first pregnancy and she and her staff answered every question and calmed all my nerves. I love how thorough she is with all appointments but super friendly and personable. She works hard and is dedicated to her practice. She gets to know her patients to better treat the whole person. I drive a great length to see her for regular appointments and health issues. She’s worth it!

Dr Heidi is sloppy and unprofessional. She never introduced herself to us during our first visit and I thought we were talking to another nurse. She also talked about herself most of the appointment (not her medical experience, but her personal dietary choices). She makes mistakes and then chastises patients for asking questions about their own health. She prescribed me medication that is only supposed to be used in first trimester if all else has failed while my labs had not even come back yet (turns out I needed no medication). I switched to another OB as I had no trust in her to make good decisions regarding bringing my baby safely into the world.

She predicted a c section before my baby was even born for absolutely no medical reason at all. Her bedside manor was horrible. She didn’t follow my birth plan wishes at all. I’m pretty sure she had me on a clock because she wanted to go home. After performing the unnecessary c section she left. Didn’t come to check on me in the recovery room at all. She made my birthing experience a nightmare. Needless to say I will be switching providers next time around.

Dr. Heidi is the best OB/GYN I've ever been to. She's very knowledgeable, and is very thorough with questions and answers. She makes sure you leave educated with your visit before you leave. She is an angel, and i highly, highly recommend her!

Dr Heidi knew I was anxious about a possibly serious diagnosis. She was kind, professional, and very thorough in her assessment. She even personally read my ultrasound that same day. She is an excellent surgeon and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her.
