Absolutely atrocious “health care” by Dr. Houser. Over prescribed medication to my Dad who suffers from Parkinson’s. He had to go to the hospital and she has ghosted not only him and his family but the doctors at the hospital as well. My Dad is still in the hospital over a week later and we still have yet to hear from her or anyone from her office.

Dr. Houser is an attentive listener and really advocates for my care. While she is truthful (which isn't always easy to hear), I believe she really cares about me as a patient.

I have Parkinson's, and Dr Houser has been my Neurologist for 18 years. She is my favorite doctor. She will not coddle you or give you hopeful answers that won't come to pass. She shares herpractice with the best Nurse Practitioner you'll ever find, Sherrie Gould. Sherrie is the best educated, caring, hard working NP I've met. Together you have balance and top notch health care.

Unless you have Parkinson's, which I cannot speak to, she is wholly lacking in compassion, unhelpful, and unwilling to even to direct you elsewhere or give you the time of day. Lease compassionate Dr. I have experienced.

She's clearly a Parkinson's guru but has little to offer those with other movement disorders. In my update, I told her I'd developed problems swallowing and breathing. I told her I was losing my ability to use my hands and walk. I told her I was losing my balance more frequently. When I told her that these were all new developments and that I was concerned about the acceleration of my deterioration, I said "If I am deteriorating this fast in 3 months, what will my life be like in 6 months? Where will I be in 2 years? Will I even be around in 10 years?" She sat staring at her computer and replied, "You'll be around, but you're life won't be what you expected." She got up & pulled out some free samples of a drug. I asked her if maybe a repetitive head injury specialist would understand. She asked me, "Who would I send you to?" got up and left. I thought she was looking up a specialist but she never came back. I showed myself out.

Dr. Houser is shockingly insensitive. She doesn't speak to my mother directly. She speaks to me like my mother is deaf or brain dead. My mother is neither. When we come in for a yearly assessment, she says loudly and with a cheerful voice that she can't help, the disease will continue to spread and destroy my mom's ability to speak, swallow, think, and Well, she's had a good run. Horrible. Plus, the Neurology Department never sends a questionnaire seeking feedback.
