Dr. Melissa Kwak, MD

Dr. Kwak has been my doctor since I was young. She's seen me and my family through many colds and sprained muscles. She is always professional, thorough, kind, and listens to me in a way that is rare in today's healthcare system. A bit TMI, but when I went in for my (very first!) pap smear, I sheepishly explained that while I was sexually active, I was a lesbian, so things like birth control weren't really a consideration. She immediately reacted with nothing but warmth and professionalism, honestly telling me that she wasn't as well versed in LGBT sexual wellness, but asking me questions about my experiences and what I did to stay healthy. It really made me feel like I wasn't just being cared for, I was being listened to. On top of that, she was very patient with me for that procedure, despite my nervousness. I would recommend Dr. Kwak to anyone, particularly women and young folks or anyone looking for a physician who will truly consider your needs and listen to you.

Dr. Kwak is the most trusted family Dr. I have ever had. As a retired Occupational Therapist, I have been impressed with the thoroughness in which she reviews my chart/ gives explanations/ offers solutions. It is rare to find all of the above along with winning my “most compassionate” family Dr. award !

During the past five years Dr. Kwak has been an excellent and very professional clinician and primary physician, in all aspects of my care.
