Excellent Physician in Manhattan
Dr Rosso came to see our mother at the nursing home. She was thorough and efficient. Dr Rosso listened to mom's concerns collaborating a plan of treatment mom could manage. We are fortunate to have a Board Certified Gerontologist as mom's new primary care physician.

We've gone to Dr. Melissa Rosso for 4 years now and she is the best! She listens to my concerns and educates me with her knowledge and background. She sees my two children and is always humble, honest, and informative. She always considers my concerns and never makes me feels incompetent for bringing my own research into appointments. I value being met with education and the latest information, not just told what to do, and met with annoyance when I ask too many questions (which I previously experienced with another Dr). Dr. Rosso is what a Dr. should be, collaborative, willing to educate, patient, offers alternative treatments (diet tips, etc), and is determined to help you find answers.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Rosso for years now, and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about her and her staff. Recently, I had a visit with my 4 and 6 year old for yearly check-ups. My youngest was no terribly cooperative and Dr. Rosso and all of her staff went above and beyond to help make it a more enjoyable visit for all of us. Thank you so much for all you do!

I have seen Dr. Rosso for several years since my previous doctor retired. I appreciate her willingness to listen, empathize and provide patient centered care. She is very collaborative in meeting individual health goals with and the health care team in the community. She understands and promotes the value of nutrition and exercise, mental and emotional factors in optimizing health. Best part is that she practices in an evidence based manner referencing position statements from American Academies of Specialty Practice. I really appreciate her great care!

I have gone to Dr Rosso for a few years and would never think of going anywhere else. She is always thoughtful, listens to all of my concerns and truly seems to care. She has helped me with a wide range of things and always walk away feeling like I am getting the best care that is available. She also sees my husband, who has had horrible doctors while in the military and he actually likes to go to the doctor now. She is easy to talk to, knowledgeable and puts you at ease. Wonderful doctor!

After being in being pain for over 2 weeks, I finally made an appointment only to be told to continue what I was doing...why even go to the dr. I now currently take so much Ibuprofen in a day that this will likely cause problems in the future, but hey she saved herself the hassle of prescribing pain medication, just incase they are drug seeking. It is sad that people that take an oath to do no harm, do so quite often by not believing their patients and not helping them when they are capable.

It is sad that the office she practices at is so hard, nearly impossible to get someone on the phone or to return a call sooner than 72 hours. I think they must be way understaffed. Maybe the main front desk people should answer the phones and help since her receptionist never answers the phone. I only go to the doctor maybe 2 to 3 times a year. Have met with nurse practitioner or other person more than the doctor herself.
