Dr. Mengda Zhang, MD

I have episodes of chest pain and difficulty breathing. I have been to the ER multiple times for this problem. During one occasion I went to the ER with a blood pressure of 176 over 96 and a pulse of 120. I saw this doctor. They told me I had been to the ER too many times and they wouldn't run any tests. They refused to treat me. After I left I found out they had faked a complete cardiac workup in my name. I had lasting chest pain for a week after I left. This doctor refused me care for a heart attack.

I saw Mengda Zhang at the Swedish ED for extreme back pain in 2020. As it turns out, I had a fractured disc that required major surgery, but my symptoms were ignored, and my request for an x-ray or MRI were ignored as well. I was sweating profusely due to pain, and with the last remaining energy I had, requested someone x-ray my back because the pain was unbearable. I was brushed off with eye rolls and convinced that it was something that would "go away" with anti inflammatory medication. I asked if I could have some pain medication due to being unable to walk, and felt strong judgement - I was treated as though I was a pain medication addict. I've never felt so invisible and uncared for during a vulnerable and desperate time. This person is the most unprofessional "doctor" i've ever worked with. I finally found a surgeon that provided appropriate x-rays/MRI and found the fracture in my back. I would NEVER recommend this doctor - she's a risk to public health.
