Doctor abandoned my care
Dr. Bowen saw me, ordered electomyography, and then disappeared. She prescribed a drug to me at 3x the rate she told me she was going to prescribe and in such volume it was terrifying. Then she disappeared and was never heard from again. No diagnosis, no test results, no response to inquiries about the prescription, or any other requests. No patient notes initially. When I demanded her hospital post them they were almost incoherent, partially inaccurate, and were rapidly taken down. Bizarre. The electromyography doctor refused to complete her test request and stated he felt it was unnecessary and inappropriate for my condition. Dr. Bowen initially seemed nice and caring; that is what makes her behavior so strange. But she did not provide good care; in fact, she provided care that may prove harmful. The test she ordered resulted in unnecessary and intense pain, and set my condition back.
