It's sad to see all these unfair reviews! I was actually shock. It seems like mostly unhappy people leave reviews! I had to change my doctors many time, until I found Dr. Hosaka. She was very caring and thoughtful! I never felt rushed or ignored! No doctor is perfect of course, and I'm sorry to hear that some people had bad experience! Maybe the doctor was having a hard day ! They are only humans!

She is very knowledgeable and is genuinely interested in the long-term health instead of just treating current thing. She is good at explaining all aspects of the treatment. She's also very prompt. When I needed a specialist, I was able to email her and get a referral very quickly. With her, I never got the feeling that she was in a rush and had to get to other patients. Every single time, she would spend as long as it was needed to help me and answer my questions.

This doctor is not educated on current illnesses, and is clueless about how to treat even the most basic ailments. She ignored everything I told her, from my symptoms to my medical history, and the instructions she gave me greatly endangered my health and almost killed me. When my condition worsened, she refused to do anything about it, and would not refer me to a specialist. It was only through the help of actual doctors at the hospital that I survived.

I agree with the one star rating but give her credit for doing what she thinks is right. She has no ability to think outside the rigid allopathic box to consider holistic alternatives. Also she should be educated about going through the educational process with the patient but letting them make choices. She reaches the point of badgering. She also didn’t listen to me. Appropriate time with me is rated low because she stretched a 20 minute appointment into 50.

She seems to care, but it's her way or the high way. Everything is a hassle and nothing is easy. The patient has to jump through hoops.
