Approximately twelve years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had a mastectomy with reconstruction performed by another surgeon at Providence. The result was (in my personal opinion) botched and I lived the next 10+ years pretty much deformed. I wasn’t even comfortable looking at myself in the mirror. It was a sad time for me. I finally worked up the nerve to approach another physician to see if the damage from the original surgery could be corrected. That is when I met Dr. Skourtis and her office manager, Vivian. Over the following couple of years we worked together to correct my deformed breast and to match the other breast so I had a matching pair. It took more than one surgery to complete the process but I am ecstatic with the final results. Dr. Skourtis was very clear on the process and what to expect of each procedure. I couldn’t be happier with the results and I would not hesitate recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and competent partner for this journey.
