Great Doctor
wonderful staff and great doctor. Dr. Shahzad cared for me like his personal family member. I have no words to describe how wonderful my experience has been at Moffitt. My doctor had in depth knowledge of my disease and presented a clear treatment plan. He did a complicated surgery and I felt better soon after my cancer was removed. Dr. Shahzad then gave me chemotherapy and recently I completed my 5 years in remission. Happy to get back to my life and family with (thanks GOD) No evidence of disease. Thank you Dr. Shahzad and team, Thank you Moffitt. I am forever in debt to you all!

I have been seeing Dr. Shahzad at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. After completing a round of chemotherapy for endometrial cancer that spread to lymph nodes and liver, he ordered a CT scan. I had the scan and saw him later that day. He evidently looked at the scan without having the radiologist's comparison to the first CT scan. He said all lymph nodes were clear but one small spot remained on the liver. He suggested it could be treated with radiation or even surgery but ordered an MRI for more accurate determination. I had the MRI and returned to find that the radiologist reported the lesions on the liver were still present and two had actually grown. He presented two treatment options - a brand new immunology treatment or a hormonal treatment to provide me better quality of life and just slow the growth. He obviously jumped to a wrong conclusion after the CT scan, and our early hopes of remission were crushed. Very poor communicator. He even mistook me for a different patient one ti

I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Shahzad and his team at Moffitt. He fit me into a busy schedule and had my surgery scheduled 5 days later. He explained the treatment I needed and answered all of my many questions, told me what to expect and his team explained every step of the process with kindness and empathy knowing this was all new to me. Could not have asked for better care.

Let's be honest, medicine is a business and some doctors are running their business as best as possible and in order to get the best ROI. This doctor is running a business. He spent less than 20 minutes with my grandmother and sent her away to the original hospital she came from. He also said it's possible her tumors are benign. Had he read her chart he would know she had elevated cancer markers. Run ...run away fast.

In my honest OPINION, Shazhad is an arrogant jerk with a very small opinion of anyone other than himself. He treated my husband and I like we were stupid, he belittled our opinion, our concerns, and he evaded every question with an ingenuine answer with little to no known knowledge on the topics. He clearly was out of his area of expertise. He was 2 hours late to my appointment after I drove 2 hours to see him because of my Doctors referral to Moffit. My appt was at 12:30pm, and I was not seen until after 2:20pm. He expressed no interest in helping me. He told me outright that my husband and I that we wasted his time and potentially left someone dying on the floor from cancer because I "took" someone else's chance at an appt. Three of my grandparents died from cancer, my father had lymphoma at 24, my aunt is currently dying from brain cancer after several surgeries, and chemo to remove it, and my uncle battled colon cancer twice and survived. He is an a**, & I will get a second opinion

I would never recommend this doctor or Moffit cancer center, He told me to go home and wait to die I went and got a second opinion Best thing I ever did then when I called Moffit to let then know I was told that is there Protocol then I find out the Moffit is funded by the Government that answers they protocol. If you want to beat cancer don't use Moffit they will let you die unless the first round of chemo works. I also had partial blockage and this doctor told me I had cancer all in my intestines I did not have any it was scar tissue which he would have know if he did a pet scan which he never did one. I thank god everyday i went and got a second opinion.

Initially my mom went to Dr. Shahzad after having a bad experience with a different doctor. Dr. Shahzad seemed to only want to send my mom back the doctor she originally felt could not treat her issue, that was the first red flag but my mother is old school and Change is hard for her so she stayed. The second and third flag came when my mother was to receive chemo and Dr. Shahzad only wanted to use a port. I asked if my mom could get a PICC instead due to my mom only receiving four treatments of chemo and daily radiation. Not only did he refuse and states “ we don’t do picc lines”. He also stated that ports go into the SVC, I replied where do picc lines go ? He again replied aggressively thatI only do ports. After finding out the cost of the port being around $10k and a picc being about $4k or under, I understood. The ending of this issue is my mom veins all became hard and she requires ultrasound to place any IV’s for future tests. After becoming septic and being in ICU she had a picc
