Dr. Michael Behrman, MD

Dr. Behrman and his staff are always very kind and friendly. Sometimes there’s a bit of a wait because he gets a lot of emergency walk in patients at the office, but I don’t mind because he is the best and worth the time! I had an appointment yesterday and a loooong list of questions about an upcoming surgery. He was so great about answering all my questions and easing my fears. He didn’t sugarcoat anything, which I appreciate greatly, so I am fully prepared for what lies ahead. I have complete confidence in Dr. Behrman and I am giving him my left hand to prove it!! ?? I would recommend Dr. Behrman and his office to anyone who is experiencing difficulty with their hands, wrists, etc. Over the top, 5 stars ?? ???????? With much gratitude, Stacy BTW… I just read that Dr. Behrman was/is the Olympic ski team physician!! Now, that’s impressive!

He's quiet and seems a little shy but knows his stuff and goes out of his way to help. Very informative and gives options for treatment. Never had any problems with surgeries or any other treatments.

Dr. Behrman has been working with me for over 15 years. He has always been very attentive and caring. He has given me conservative treatment throughout the years: splinting, cortisone shots, physical therapy and after all this it looks like it is going to come to surgery for my CMC joint. The staff has always been kind and professional. He and his staff is always a breath of fresh air compared to other doctor offices! Thank you Dr. Behrman!

Staff was not helpful. I owed $219 and had insurance. They wouldn't bill me and turned me away after Cottage reffered me for three broken bones on wrist. Wait was 30 minutesish to be told to leave. Thaialnd's medical is WAY better/ THAILAND

Dr. Behrman performed two surgery’s on my wrist and did an excellent job. He healed me with intelligence and wonderful support. We are lucky to have such incredible talent here in Santa Barbara.

I broke my shoulder in a rec my motorcycle accident. Dr. Behrman is working with me to help me heal. Yes, you wait a long time sometimes, but you can usually get an appointment quickly. Also, thus far he has NOT recommended surgery, and surgery looks unlikely. A surgeon who works with you and does not recommend surgery is the way to go. The late Dr. Montgomery of the same practice fixed my broken wrist in 2013 with superior results.

His rates are out of control. Even with good insurance it was expensive. Charged $550 for using an ultrasound for 15-20 seconds!! Expect to wait at least 1-hr.

Horribly managed practice with no concern for your time - expect to wait for hours!

I saw Dr. Behrman for trigger fingers. After waiting 30 minutes after my appointment, I was with the doctor only for a few minutes. He came to give me an injection. That's it. He did not care about my conditions or concerns at all. I felt like a part on an assembly line in a factory. I had a second appointment but I decided not to come back there. Although the assistant at his clinic told me everything is covered by insurance, I was charged for over $400.

Dr. Behrman was an absolute god send. He performed hand surgery on me which not only restored me from zero wrist and hand movement back to 100% but also was able to remove a number of my cysts while saving the bone structure, etc. He is an amazing doctor and a kind man. He was able to see that there was an underlying condition to my issue and because of his being able to put puzzle pieces together, I was diagnosed with a separate health issue that is now monitored for life.
