Removed from medication
Was sent by worker’s compensation to Dr. Bolger for a review of treatment for DVT and damaged valves in my leg.Was told by Dr. Bolger that i should be removed from blood thinners because I was more at risk of internal bleeding than I was to suffer another DVT. After being removed from blood thinners over my objection, I suffered a 2nd DVT. Since this week long hospital stay I have been told by 3 different Dr’s that I should have not been removed from from blood thinners and will need to be on them for the rest of my life.

Dr. Bolger is one of the most knowledgeable physicians who has taken care of me. He also has an excellent bedside manner. Assistant, Lauri, and his staff are all very professional, helpful, and kind. I would recommend him enthusiastically.

When he diagnosed me with cancer, he had his hand on the doorknob of the exam room, and after explaining he didn't like to answer questions, he opened the door and instantly disappeared. A nurse came into the exam room on cue to explain things. Having seen Dr. Bolger pull his disappearing act when my father-in-law got cancer, I was not surprised. It surprises me very much when anyone says Dr. Bolger explains things AT ALL, much less explains them well. I switched to a better doctor as soon as I could. That doctor had some expertise in my type of hematologic malignancy, personally explained the treatment options and side effects, and greatly improved the treatment. He also explained how to avoid the pain of the related bone treatment, something which "Dr. Disappearo" and his spokesperson/nurse never did.
