Dr. Michael Bowers, DO

If you are high maintenance and need lots of handholding, coddling and emotional support, then Dr. Bowers might not be the right person for you. If you need a diagnosis and treatment plan that you can count your life on, then Dr. Bowers is the right doctor for you.

Dr. Bowers is one of the lowest, if not the lowest rated doctor at this practice (Town Center Family Medicine) according to virtually every website ranking doctors. Sadly, it's well deserved. In a standard 15-minute appointment he will actually see you, listen to your concerns, advise you on your issue, discuss medications, etc for at best 6 minutes. He'll then leave the patient room for approximately 7 minutes and then return for 1 minute or less to give you any prescriptions or notes. If 6 minutes is the kind of appointment length & level of care one seeks then you've found your doctor. The nurses at this practice routinely advise patients to see other doctors at the practice as he has a reputation for rushing through as many patients as possible. You will not experience an intelligent, well-reasoned review of your medical concerns but 30 to 60-second "diagnosis". Unfortunately, Dr. Bowers is the McDonalds of medical care. If he could see you thru a drive-thru window he would.

Arrogant, thoughtless, rude.......this man has the bedside manner of a crocodile.

He is very friendly, energetic and knowledgeable. With a few of my complicated conditions, his “sense” of what might be wrong turned out to be right every time. He takes his time but is efficient—he does not waste my time. He explained all treatments and medications clearly. He stayed on top of my test results and follow up visits. It is hard to find a doctor this good and this organized.

Ten years of family care with Dr Bowers has been OUTSTANDING! His advice and care to our family has been superb. So lucky to have him as our doctor.

I wasn't sure if I could find a doc I trusted. Dr Bowers is a good man and I value his opinion and guidance. As a veteran, he understands and his knowledge of my issues is beyond value.

Waited 30 min past my appointment time for a doctor to show up

I've seen Dr. Bowers for about a year and a half now. He always seems generally concerned and is willing to discuss all aspects of my total wellness ad health. He is very receptive and engaged. I really get the feeling he cares and wants the best for me. I would highly recommend him.

My first appointments were very positive. Dr. Bowers brief and to the point. Since then, it was obvious that less than 15 minutes was allotted per visit and that seemed to include his write-up. I jokingly asked him if a second question needed a second visit to which he replied Yes. At this time I'm not sure what exactly what a DO's expertise covers.

Rude inconsiderate. No bedside manner. Pushy and rushed

Listens well. Considers your preference in treatment options. Easy to talk with.
