Dr. Camilleri is the true definition for the term “doctor”. After years of pain, chronic constipation, chronic nausea, I received an accurate diagnosis from him after days of testing. My doctor in my home state along with many other doctors have misdiagnosed me. I am now finally able to start treatment and get on the right path. Dr. Camilleri treated me as an equal and spoke to me in a way that I could understand everything. He does not jump to the most extreme treatment path and will work his way through every last avenue before the most extreme. I am so grateful to have met him and have the opportunity to continue my care with him.

We feel really lucky to have connected with Dr Camilleri. We could not secure an appointment through the regular channels on the phone at the Mayo, (and my request was turned down 3 times) but I found an email address somewhere on his profile on the Mayo Clinic website. And sent him a personal email. We live up in rural north-central Minnesota…5 hours north of Rochester, and appreciate the efforts his staff made to schedule as many appointments as possible over a 4 day stay, plus the follow-up referrals. He spent 75 minutes with me to summarize my testing results as well as a 20 minute phone call the following week. Dr Camilleri diagnosed a lifetime disease and changed my life. He is brilliant, kind and has a great sense of humor. One of the finest doctors I have ever been blessed to know.

Outstanding physician with so much knowledge about gastrointestinal issues. I was referred to him by a surgeon about a possible connective tissue disorder. He was able to make a diagnosis which explained my previous joint injuries. He also made recommendations and medication adjustments before and after my surgery. I definitely recommend him!

Dr. Camilleri saved me. After 8 years of suffering, every test possible, tons of doctor opinions and misdiagnoses I was referred to Dr. Camilleri by a member of the inspire health boards when I had lost all hope. I was put on his waiting list and when a spot opened up early we drove 8 hrs to see him. He figured out what was wrong with me and even though I no longer have a large intestine now I am no longer sick thanks to him. Had only I had found him sooner!
