Dr. Michael Chamblee, MD

Dr Chamblee is very professional with lots of knowledge that he used to educate me in what was wrong with my right arm and shoulder and the surgical procedures needed to repair or replace it. My reverse total right shoulder surgery went very well without a glitch of any kind. Along with the joint replacement he also repaired muscle and cleaned up things that needed to be cleaned up. To me his attention to all the little details was just as important as the replacement. He immediately started me on PT. Although I thought this was a little crazy, I am extremely grateful that he did. I can once again sleep on that arm. I also have almost all of my range of motion back. Surgery is no guarantee of life as before injury, but it gives me the continued ability to live my life to the fullest. That is a blessing to this 78 year old. Will gladly recommend him and his wonderful staff to all I can.

Baldwin bone & joint are the Chick-fil-A of bone and joint they get you in and out quickly with friendly service I drive from Meridian Ms to see Dr. Chamblee over a 100 miles away , he replaced my left hip in 2015 in meridian while he was at Anderson , & in August 2024 he replaced my right hip with no problems at Thomas hospital in Daphne . I am currently getting injections in my right knee about every 4 months from Dr.Chamblee , & will eventually probably have to have knee replacement ? I have a very demanding job & I have been able to stay active play golf nearly every weekend & for the most part I am pain free , thanks to Dr.Chamblee and the great staff at Baldwin bone & joint .

First visit with Dr. Chambliss. Went well . Even though they do not accept my Federal Cigna insurance, I agreed to listen to his opinion. I can get some of my cost back since they are out of network. He explained my situation well& I was happy with his advice.

He is knowledgeable, personable and a good communicator. He is not rushed, he listens and is careful with procedures and shares step by step what he is doing.

I had surgery. Saw him in office afterwards. Explained and showed x-ray of what was done. Told me that I would be able to get back to my normal life after therapy.

Dr Chamblee did my knee replacement, after 19 weeks I’m still experiencing pain. He said some people still do, lucky me. He listened to me, zeroed in on where the pain was and explained the condition. He gave me an injection and set me up with more PT, which I felt was needed. Why I would recommend Dr Chamblee, is that he listens and I never felt rushed.

Have seen him several times over the years mostly for shoulder pain. He listens intently and fully explains options for care. Very concerned and informative doctor. Never feel rushed through a visit.

On a recent second postop visit to Dr. Chamblee I was feeling pretty discouraged. I was about seven weeks postop and had had two setbacks with extreme muscle spasms or pain that had resulted in me going to the hospital. I felt like I had lost a lot of ground in my recovery, but he was very encouraging and said that everyone recovers at different rates and that it looked like I was doing well. I left the appointment with renewed optimism, and determination to keep on. He said baby steps are OK and take it one day at a time. He was very reassuring.

Thorough discussion of my hip x-rays, listened well and said invited questions. Listened to my concerns and offered suggestions for addressing my symptoms. Will certainly return if I need further treatment.

In and out in a very timely manner! Staff are courteous. Dr Chamblee explained my condition thoroughly and what I could expect in the future. I appreciate BB&J very much!

Dr Chamblee is an awesome person. He scoped my knee after I tore the meniscus. He did a great job on my knee and the physical therapy department was just as good. His staff that evaluated me before meeting him and follow up visits are great too. He got me back up on my feet and going again in just a couple of months. Always felt like I was in the best care during the surgery and rehab phase. Thank you Dr, Chamblee to you and your staff for doing such an awesome job on my knee and helping me get back to work so quickly.

Dr. Chamblee showed a genuine concern for the pain I was experiencing. He took time to listen to me and explain what could be done to help me. I feel as though I'm getting the best care possible with Dr. Chamblee and his assistants.

He is not only arrogant, he is callous and cold. He is on the biggest ego trip and does not care about his patients. I wish I had never gone to him. My dog gets better treatment by his Vet. Sitting in the waiting room, hearing another patient complain loudly about this man is proof positive it’s not just me. Stay away. If you want kind and compassionate combined with skilled and competent, go anywhere but to this man. I walked out and immediately found a new doctor.

He explained everything well in terms that the everyday person could understand. Very professional and personable.

I’ve used Dr. Chamblee for many years. He performed knee surgery on my wife several years ago and she has had no issues with her knee since. 5 years ago, he cut out two bone spurs from my right ankle and that surgery was a complete success. And 4 weeks ago, Dr. Chamblee repaired a torn tendon in my right ankle. I am in my recovery period but it appears that this issue in my ankle has been corrected.Dr. Chamblee is a very caring and extremely competent physician and I recommend him to all who have any type of orthopedic issues.

I needed a Specialist to look at my situation and work toward a pain free outcome. Dr. Chamblee did just that.
