Intentional misdiagnosis
This doctor began by trying to “connect” with me by mentioning research I had done 35 years ago, which he apparently googled. He then stated that since I had “two sites” of cancer, I would need a mastectomy, end of story. Questions and attempted discussion were met with a sneering, “Well, what do you think I’m gonna say?” Since my diagnosis was DCIS, a non-metastatic, Stage 0 breast condition, I asked again why I could not be considered for a lumpectomy, rather than a full mastectomy. His answer: “Well, I have to feed my family, don’t I?” You read that right, those were his exact words. After realizing he was only interested in treating me for the money he could make, I left his practice and received treatment from another surgeon. This surgeon confirmed that indeed there was only one site of cancer, and there was absolutely no need for a mastectomy. She performed a lumpectomy, I had one week of radiation, and I’m doing great. WORST SURGEON EVER
I wish i could give negative stars on this review. This 'surgeon' took 6 spots of healthy tissue after NOT LOOKING at notes that the medical clip had migrated. He didn't get the cancer and on my visit in front of an intern said, 'I'm not apologizing'. Because of this I had to get 2 follow up surgeries after firing him. I am forever maimed by this 'man' who refused to apologize. He ruined my life! I absolutely despise him!!!
