Very Happy with my care and results!
Thank you Dr. Curtis! I am a breast cancer survivor of 20 years. I had a double mastectomy and reconstruction 20 years ago. After meeting with 3 plastic surgeons I chose Dr. Curtis for my Bilateral Breast Implant Replacement. Upon meeting him he went over all my options, listened to my concerns about what i did not like about my current implants. The visit was informative and I felt very comfortable with my decision to go with him. Fast forward to the procedure. All went well, I am two weeks into my recovery and very very happy with my results. I have had my follow-up visit and his staff is friendly and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend him to family and friends.

Highly recommended
I had a double mastectomy with immediate diep flap reconstruction in January 2024. He was awesome and informative. His staff were amazing as well. Recovery was as good as to be expected but the outcome was great. In October 2024 I also had the phase 2 of this surgery. Again the outcome so far is good. I highly recommend Dr. Curtis. I find him personable and very knowledgeable and because of him I was able to make a likely life saving decision.

Nice Results
Dr. Curtis put in tissue expanders at my double mastectomy surgery after breast cancer diagnosis. His staff has been great. I was also really pleasantly surprised at my surgical scars. He did a nice job on sewing me up and keeping scars minimal. I haven’t had reconstruction yet though so cannot speak to that. He’s not a big talker but come prepared with your questions and he answers them. I was not rushed and he certainly seemed caring.

If zero was an option, that's what Dr Curtis would get. Does he have a pleasant demeanor when you meet him-Yes. But if you have complications after your surgery, you learn real quickly how fake that was. He did a reduction mammaplasty on my 19 year old daughter last July and 2 months later he had to go back in to clear an infection that he tried to treat with the wrong antibiotics for two months. Can you afford to sit at home with an infected crater in your breast for two months? I was literally on the phone crying to his nurse asking him to help my daughter and he did nothing. We are a year out from her first surgery and still seeing the doctor that had to fix Dr Curtis's mistakes and today we had to have dead tissue drained from her breast. A new surgery is scheduled to fix the deformity of her breast and lift them back up, because they are saggier than mine are at twice her age! Don't let his initial pleasantry fool you. There are too many horror stories, besides ours on here!

Disappointed and angry mom – Aug 04, 2021
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Curtis?
I went to Dr. Curtis for a breast reduction, and he assured me it would be an easy procedure with a short recovery, as I would be leaving for college soon-after. After the surgery, not only did his “work” result in months of agonizing pain, but he did not reduce me to the size I’d asked. I’d constantly have to drive across the state to visit him with concerns that he’d brushed off as a bruise (there were multiple holes, I was bleeding profusely). He eventually gave me a second emergency surgery after it was clearly infected for weeks, and even that one resulted in ANOTHER infection, which by that point, he’d stopped responding completely & I was forced to see another doctor who told me Dr. Curtis had been giving me the wrong antibiotics the entire time. I am now a year post-op, and will likely be scheduling another reduction with the doctor who cleaned up Curtis’ mess, as I am now back to my pre-op size. I am still dealing with his mess today, as I’m STILL experiencing complications

If I could give Dr. Curtis a 0, I would. I have never left a review before in my life, but thought I should so someone doesn't make the same mistake that I did and use/trust Dr. Curtis. I came to Dr. Curtis for a preventative double mastectomy and he was fine with our initial meeting. However, he became short, rude, and aggressive with my pre and post op questions/concerns. He did an absolutely horrific job on my breasts, to the point where I have become extremely self conscious with them and now have to get them redone (obviously by a different surgeon). Every surgeon I have talked to since then has stated they would have done multiple things differently than what Curtis did (simple things, at that). While it has been quite some time since my surgery, I have encountered multiple people who have since experienced the same things I did with Dr. Curtis. I wish I knew this prior to my surgery as I would have gone to someone else.

Due to a breast cancer diagnosis in the past I have had multiple surgeries with reconstruction etc. and after my prior doctor retired (who was AMAZING) Dr. Curtis was recommended to me. At my initial visit he was fine, said it was a very simple procedure I would be having done so I just went with him. This is something I have regretted everyday since my surgery. I am 6 months post op and was in pain every day since until recently finding another doctor to help. I contacted his office several times for help and even went back a few times and was told the pain was normal and everything looked great, they treated me as though I was overreacting. I have never written a negative review but I am hoping that it will maybe help at least someone else from experiencing what I did.

I have been seeing Dr. Curtis for two years since being referred to him by my original reconstructive surgeon after radiation caused my surgery to fall apart. He and his staff are professional and caring. I am an OR nurse and absolutely trust him. When I am in the office I feel like I am the only patient he has that day, as he listens and never rushes or makes me feel my issues are trivial. He and his nurse, Erica, have calmed my worries and fears, with nothing but patience.

Dr. Curtis was very easy to talk to and provided a very good explanation of my reconstruction, direct to implant procedure. His calmness and confidence put my mind at ease. He did an excellent job surgically, and i'm very happy with my results so far.

Breast reconstruction did not leave a good result and I needed to get it fixed. The breasts were very uneven and a contracture formed almost immediately. Technique was not good and it felt like he was just practicing on me. He also did not remove a cyst that he had promised to remove.
