Abrupt
I've been going to Louisville Orthopedic since it was only Dr. McAllister, Dr. Eggers and one other provider. I am sure Dr. Doyle is a fine surgeon however he lacks any sense of common manners. I was referred by pain management following an MRI which had not been reviewed with me. He was late, didn't listen to any of my concerns, abrupt. Very disappointed

Dr Doyle is wonderful!
Dr Doyle is such a great provider! He listens to everything you tell him, and makeshift a point to help you feel confident in his knowledge. He did a fantastic job with my herniated disk, with the smallest scar. I was back to my regular routine in just a few weeks!

Recommended Doctor
When I hurt by back by picking up a package containing 24 water bottles, my Primary Care Physician recommended Dr. Doyle who works at the Louisville Orthopaedic Clinic in Louisville. I initially saw his Physician Assistant who was very nice and listened to my problem. I then saw Dr. Doyle who explained I was in a very 'tricky' situation because when I fractured my two vertebrae, some fragments entered my spinal canal, causing it to narrow and compress my leg nerves. He immediately referred me to a colleague who had more experience with situations such as mine. I liked Dr. Doyle because he was very professional and honest about my situation and didn't 'string' me along. He's my first choice whenever I think I may have a back injury. I would recommend him to anyone who wanted an honest and knowledgeable doctor.

Amazing talent
I was impressed with his medical skill from beginning to end. His office people are friendly and very professional but Dr Doyle answers questions in a way that helps the most and he's always serious about doing things right. My surgery day went smoothly and I woke up with total relief from pain. I suspect that's quite routine for them since every detail of my day there evidenced it was the product of constant attention to patient wellbeing. Followup visits were pleasant but super focused on my return to normal life. Looking backward, aside from my successful outcome, I notice that Dr Doyle treats everyone's time as valuable. I'm clueless how to self-direct your own referral to him but wish you the same good luck as me from your healthcare network.

Had my first spinal fusion in 2020, my second with him 10-2024. He’s not bee talkative but he’s good. He’s tells it like it is, he cares enough about patients to not want to just throw pain meds at them, he’s always taken my call and answered my questions. He won’t be your best friend but he will fix your issues and he will do it well.

This time he was a total jerk! Will never go back
I first saw Dr Doyle in 2023 for back pain and he seemed ok. He ordered a MRI and at return visit recommended against another back surgery. No problem. Dr Doyle referred me to their pain management department. I had a lumbar fusion in 2019 from a now retired surgeon who was great and it resolved my pain. Currently I am doing physical therapy for a recent ankle surgery. While doing PT I did leg presses of 80 pounds, which has made me very weak in my legs and caused me more pain in my back. Now my legs will not support my body and have fallen in a parking lot when attempting to step up on a curb. Also have developed unbearable, what I believe is nerve pain, in my left knee. At my most recent appointment with Dr Doyle, I explained all my symptoms and concerns. Basically, he said he was not going to perform another back surgery, told me to do physical therapy, and see his pain management (who I have been seeing.) He was argumentative and didn’t seem to care about my situation.

Rude and rushed
My first appt was with Remy Lamphere. She was great, took her time and listened to my concerns. My follow up was with Dr. Doyle and it was like night and day. He didn’t spend more than 5 minutes with me, I barely got a word in about my lack of progress in PT/immense pain and he didn’t care about the concerns/opinions from the rest of my care team regarding this issue. He was rude, said I just needed to exercise, stretch and work on weight management and that my other specialists trying to address the root cause of my pain would not give me some “magical pill” to solve all my problems. I never once said this was my expectation/desire and there’s many factors as to why his advice would not/has not worked. I did end up with a referral to pain management after reiterating I cannot exercise/complete PT with out offering some form of pain relief but I will never schedule with him again. If you’re a plus size human with complex pain/health conditions, do not see Dr. Doyle.

Fired Doyle
7 weeks fo trying to get answers about post op so I could plan. Not once did I get a return call, so waited to until I was sure he could not fill the space and cancelled. Spoke to Office Mgr (nice lady) told her why I was going to find a better surgeon and did not even get a call from the Doc to see what my complaints are. Find another practice, this one only cares about your money not your health

Excellent surgeon. He took his time to explain the pathology with MRI. He took his time to answer all my questions. Luckily no surgery was needed, but I'll be happy to have him operate, should I need it. Highly recommend.

Dr Doyle has done surgery on my husband and myself. I was in pain for more than a year when I went to see Dr Doyle. He told me up front that he could relieve me of some of the pain but could not completely fix the problem. He done exactly what he said he would. If I had to do the surgery again, I would choose him again. If I ever have another neck or back surgery, I will go back to him. He gave me excellent care.
