Avoid
Doctor Duffy is rude and frankly dismissive to my digestive issue. I lost 20 lbs in 30 days and couldn’t eat more than 200 - 300 calories a day… but according to him I just need to take more acid reflux medication. Which didn’t resolve the issue. Went to another doctor. Please Avoid him at all costs and the staff there isn’t much better.

RUDE
This doctor was the rudest and most disrespectful doctor I have spoken with in years. He doesn’t listen and has a disrespectful tone! I have been on a stomach acid controller for over 20 years. After my conversation with this “Dr. “I realized it was time for an alternative method of treatment. I have currently had three sessions Acupuncture & not taken one in over a week. I can drink a BOTTLE of water at one time without getting sick nauseous now where I could not even drink a sip of water without getting sick prior to Acupuncture! I had no idea there was a permanent cure but according to my acupuncturist it IS! I’ve been attending sessions at Acupuncture & Massage Center, 2565 S. Rochester Road, Rochester, MI. Grace has helped me with GREATLY With my arthritis, back pain, knee pain and my daughters inflammatory condition but had no idea I suffered from acid reflux as well. Grace is the BEST doctor I see now & is NEVER rude!

Dr Duffy was abrupt with me and my wife before and after my colonoscopy and that should have been my red flag. I have had 5 previous colonoscopies with absolutely no post procedure problems. This time my butt was inflamed and my insides were very painful as Dr Duffy was obviously very very rough in doing this procedure. When I asked him 2 days later why I was in such pain, he said "I have no idea". He was completely unconcerned and even seemed irritated that I had the audacity to question him. I say please do not use this Doctor. He is obviously tired of this profession or incompetent

Dr. Duffy is very nice and was recommended by my child's gastroenterologist, Dr. Gebara. He explains things so they can be easily understood.

The dr had listened carefully at first, ordered some tests, put me on a low FODMAPs diet, but when i went for the follow up visit, expecting to discuss the results of my reactions to the reintroductions, he was uninterested. I spent 12 weeks carefully monitoring what I ate, keeping a journal, and thought he would help me arrive to a conclusion. Do I have IBS or not? What should the next steps be? I did not feel he spent the appropriate time with me.

Dr. Duffy is an excellent, has been my Doctor for almost 20 years I was born with a rare liver condition, it took two years and many tests until it was discovered, Dr. Duffy did not give up searching for what made me ill. presenting my case to Harvard and University of Michigan. If not for his perserverance I would have died by age 42. Now 61 and going strong.

After suffering from my first flare up from crohn's disease, I didn't know what was going on. Why was I feeling so awful. Made several appts with Dr. Duffy...no word was mentioned that this could be a flare up. Actually, my primary care physician diagnosed it. All Dr. Duffy wanted was to admit me to the hospital. I think this office is nothing but colonoscopy factory. All they do is write px's and tell you need a colonoscopy. Would not recommend.

Dr. Duffy was dismissive and missed a diagnosis of intestinal obstruction due to adhesions despite my long history of abdominal surgery and the preliminary diagnosis of intestinal obstruction due to adhesions by the E.R. doctor. Saw Dr. Duffy at Beaumont and then again for a follow up visit at his office. Irregardless of my opinion, Dr. Duffy did not investigate further after deciding it was gastritis. I was admitted to the hospital 2 months later for obstruction due to adhesions AS I THOUGHT
