Wasted my time, but the nurse was really nice.
My problem is unique and complex and I have seen many medical specialists, including time spent at the Mayo Clinic for my constant pain. There was damage in my cervical spine that was impinging on nerves. I went to the appointment with images on a thumb drive. They said they couldn't use a thumb drive and I had to mail in a CD. The nurse checked and Dr Finn said he wouldn't even meet with me until I sent an MRI CD in and he had looked at it and was able to call me back to say if he would do surgery or not! So I never even got to meet him or see him! At checkout, the receptionist wanted to schedule me with physical therapy doctors first. I told her I've tried PT, injections, acupuncture, a neurostimulator implant and subsequent removal. I mailed the MRI CD to them and I never heard back. Overall, I'm not impressed with Dr Finn. This process wasted my time. It wasn't worth pursuing. I decided to find another surgeon. I had surgery with the new doctor and that surgery was successful

THE MAN.
Dr Finn is amazing. He has been my surgeon for 3 years and continues to validate my neck situation as I just had a 2nd surgery. I had a C5-6 posterior neck fusion, I am 8 weeks post op and I feel incredible. I'm recovering from this much better than the ACDF I had prior. Excellent surgeon and human.

I was suffering tremendously from severe Arthritic pain in my whole neck. I tried everything possible throughout 2020 to find something/someone who could help me. I even had a spine Surgeon tel me that there was nothing that could be done. He actually told me I just had to live with it. My wife pleaded with a pain management Dr. isn't there anything that can help. He mentioned that Dr. Finn at Anschutz might be able to help. we met with Dr. Finn on Nov. 30. He felt confident that by fusing C1 & C2 it would probable aleviate some if not all of my pain. I had the surgery March 4 and unbelievably I have no pain. Dr. Finn is a very skilled surgeon who, I truly believe would not tell you he could "fix" something if he couldn't. I would recommend Dr. Finn to anyone for any reason.

Dr Finn took care of 2 friends who were "too complicated " for care in Albuquerque. They both had excellent results.

Dr. Finn is hands down the best physician I’ve ever seen. His skill and knowledge are both extraordinary, but even beyond that, he has a genuine care for and commitment to his patients that are unparalleled. If any issue or question arises, he is available and actually happy to talk and help. He cares so deeply that he’ll only consider operating if it’s clear more conservative (non-surgical) treatments have failed or just aren’t options. He cares about the whole person/outcome Deeply. The BEST.

Dr. Finn and his staff are incredible! I can't begin to emphasize the level of care received versus other medical facilities and doctors. Dr. Finn's expertise is also without question. He corrected my original physician when the two had differing opinions. Following additional testing, it was shown that Dr. Finn was correct and he repaired the damages to my spine. GREAT doctor with my highest recommendation! It's worth driving to him, the care is THAT good.
