Excellent compassionate care! The best hand doctor hands down! Thumb surgery 3 years ago went very well. Second thumb giving me problems and he addressed this with ease. Very talented with an injection!!Surgery skills beyond compare!!

This is my second surgery with Dr. Fitzgerald. He is very compassionate and informative. His bedside manners are top notch. I highly recommend him for any arm, wrist, hand surgery.

Having surgery is never 'fun,' but when it is necessary, one can't expect it to go any better than my recent surgical experience at the hands of Dr. Fitzgerald and the staff at the one-day SOS surgery center in North Syracuse. Dr. Fitzgerald is a warm, friendly, personable, accommodating, knowledgeable and highly skilled physician who scheduled and performed my surgery within days of meeting me for the first time at his office. The treatment and care I received before, during and after my surgical procedure were top-notch in every way! Dr. Fitzgerald and the entire SOS staff make you feel like you're a priority -- with a level of care that that is warm and wonderful! I have been an SOS patient for more than 30 years, receiving care and treatment for a variety of orthopedic issues. In that time, I have always had incredibly positive experiences, and my most recent one with Dr. Fitzgerald was definitely no exception! I highly recommend him and SOS in general for any orthopedic need.

I had A1 pulley Release of my thumb with cyst removal. The surgery went well and only have had minor pain from it. DR. Fitzgerald is amazing told me everything that was going to happen and was honest with me. Kudos to him and everyone at the surgery center.

I will say that my experience here was great. They made me feel comfortable and relaxed. The staff and Dr's really made me understand everything and what had to be done. The surgery I had was explained and right to the reason and best for me. Great staff and Dr's here. Thank you Dr Michael Fitzgerald and staff.

I had hand surgery b4 Covid hit our country on my right hand (wrist) !! I was in so much pain and discomfort and after the surgery I had NO pain soreness yes but even that was at a minimum… I was so thankful and if I dare say impressed with his work my hand to this day(2024) is still fantastic but I was supposed to hv my left hand done a few months after my right hand surgery but with our country on lock down I had to wait unfortunately due to my own procrastination I hv not made an appointment to see when this other hand could be done becuz it’s gotten so bad I’m hoping it’s not permanent… but I can tell u that Dr.Fitzgerald is the ONLY specialist I would let do my surgery he was kind and informative and he in my opinion is a great Doctor ..

I went in for an extremely infected finger approximately four weeks ago Dr Fitzgerald looked and told me like it was. A few options and a confident professional opinion. Explained very clearly what my issues were and answered every question I had. Next day was surgery and never felt uncomfortable at any moment. His OR staff was the best you could ask for (Even for being the last procedure on a Friday) Very upbeat and positive. Fast forward to next visit and again, nothing but confidence and positive direction. Covered everything that was needed. Todays visit was everything looks great and call if you need anything. The world needs more Dr.s like Dr Fitzgerald! And to all of the SOS staff……..thank for all for your positivity and smiles! It doesn’t go unnoticed.

No sympathy ,dull looks ,no smiles and I had to over hear him talking about me to the very next person .he could've waited until I fully left the facility.i shared my concern with the check out receptionist. There was nothing I could say because I did not want to make a scene or be rude .I'm on my way home to tell my mother in law about my experience. I CLearly heard him 2 facing me

I was very pleased with my consultation with Dr. Fitzgerald, professional, easily understood his explanation of the procedure I was having done! My post op visit went just as good as the consult! I am delighted with the outcome of my surgery! I was back again just recently for another issue and again my visit went very well!

Dr. Fitzgerald was friendly, open,down to earth, explained everything, didn’t rush, eas respectful.

Dr. Fitzgerald was very personable and friendly. He took the time to listen. He explained treatment options and involved me in the decision as to what treatment might be best and when I should expect to see improvement. His staff (RN and X-ray Technician) were also very friendly and professional.

Excellent in all aspects, from office visit to surgery. Very clear in explaining from start to finish.

I didn’t spend a lot of time with him, but the time I did have, he seemed to know his stuff. He looked at the X-rays I brought, listened to what I had to say, checked my elbow range of motion, and was able to provide an accurate diagnosis that was more reasonable than what I received from WellNow. I will be going back in a few weeks and go from there.

I had Dr. Fitzgerald perform carpal tunnel on my right hand four months ago. Have gone back because the left hand needs carpal tunnel as well. Dr. Fitzgerald is very professional very caring very transparent and easy to work with. His bedside manner is excellent and I feel after having other hand specialist he is by far the best of the best.

Dr Fitzgerald took the time to understand the constant pain I have been having for months in my elbow and finger tendon, thoroughly reviewed my situation, took X-rays reviewed them and then came back in to administer relief through a wrist brace to stop the tension on my elbow and an injection to my finger All in the one visit I was able to walk out of his office with almost no pain and woke up two days later completely pain free

I was seen promptly and the staff was friendly and efficient. Dr. Fitzgerald spent a good amount of time with me and answered all of my questions. Great experience!
