After 13 years of supportive spinal stenosis monitoring at Summit, MRI showed urgent spinal surgery was needed. Extensive Laminectomy and Fusion was required. Dr. Goldsmith's commitment and care have been incredible. Very professional staff support before, through and after the surgery. Sibley staff was wonderful and CAO Summit staff continue to be very responsive through the healing process.

Doctor Goldsmith, Carl and the entire team are absolutely amazing. Doctor Goldsmith explores every avenue before recommending surgery. He explains his diagnosis in vivid detail, and he addresses every concern.

Incredible surgeon whose expertise and confidence in his capabilities is very reassuring for a patient.Before choosing Dr. Goldsmith to do my laminectomy and fusion (L4l/L5) I saw seem by 3 other othro-neuro surgeons and none inspired me to proceed. He answered all my questions and even entrained the tough questions about why he chose one surgical procedure over others. His explanations were clear and understandable, when they could have been condescending. He didn't 'sugar coat' the risks and the possibility of adverse outcomes, even though he felt these would be remote in my case.As it turned out my surgery was more involved than he originally thought, but he was able to deal with the complication.I am exceptionally pleased with the outcome - eliminated leg pains, with no pre-op pain that could be managed without opioids. While I still have some slight numbness in my foot, he felt that may dissipate over time or I might need to accept this as a cost of the surgery.

I saw Dr. Goldsmith only once, upon referral from my primary doctor. It was a very unsatisfactory and unsettling appointment. No matter what I said, even when I was quoting another doctor, he came down on me as if to prove I had no idea what I was talking about on any subject. If I told him what other doctors had found and how they found it, his reaction was that they were probably incompetent, and he would only trust his own findings. He kept razzing me for not having the necessary test results for him to review. Near the end, he told me I had a medical condition that I should see a rheumatologist about. That was interesting because the referring doctor had predicted, “He’ll probably tell you that you have a painful condition you can do nothing about.” Of course, the rheumatologist said he was no evidence to support what he claimed. Of note, his written report did not mention this condition and showed far more respect for me than he did in person. I hear he's a great surgeon.

This was my first visit to Dr. Goldsmith for worsening, focal, low back pain. His staff was excellent, everyone I interacted with was friendly, communicated well, and answered any question I had. My wait was minimal. Dr. Goldsmith listened very carefully to my description of my symptoms, asked good clarifying questions, and then walked me through the X-rays and pointed out the pathology I have and explained the treatment options. Fortunately (or unfortunately!) I only have facet arthritis that at this point only requires a small, non-surgical intervention, when I get to that point. He spent enough time with me and I didn't feel rushed. Excellent experience!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Goldsmith’s for several years and have found him to be friendly and kind with an engaging manner, he’s a good listener, direct with his comments and willing to answer my questions and share his knowledge and perspective on my inquiries. I never feel that Dr. Goldsmith is trying to hurry through our appointment to get to the next patient. A bonus for me about being Dr. Goldsmith’s patient is that the man has a gentle sense of humor. If I have to seek the services of an orthopedic doctor, I’m glad Dr. Goldsmith is the one.

I always have had utmost confidence in Dr Goldsnith. My recent visit was great. DR Goldsmith answered all my questions in straight forward way.

5" of Nothing "I'm only here to look at one joint at a time." (But Doctor both my knees hurt now.) "Come back later [exorbitant fees] and I'll look at the other knee." His PA was the never examined me either. (There is a theme to this office.) He bases your copay on his "notes." Gave (Lol) me a device and then charged me 3 times more than Prime. The ONLY bright spot was the gentleman in their billing department as you check out.

I have been seeing Dr. Goldsmith for many years and he has been my back surgeon on two occasions. I would highly recommend Dr. Goldsmith to anyone with spinal issues with no hesitation. He's careful, caring and takes as much time as you need to explain what the issues are.

Fast, friendly, efficient!

Initially I was a walking 7-8 pain daily, unable to sleep at night. Lower back surgery l4,l5.2021. Haven't felt this good in years. left me with very little pain and I've been sleeping like a baby ! Dr. Goldsmith "My Guy"
