Dr. Michael Gottsman, MD

Gottsman replaced my right knee in Jan 2025. I missed 3 weeks of work but 3 months later I am doing well. Dr Gottsman, Trevor and the entire staff are professional, respectful and make you feel like a friend rather than a patient. If or when my left knee needs replacing, Dr Gottsman will definitely get the job.

I would refer Dr. Gottsman to anybody in the US. I am really glad I chose him to do my Knee Replacement. He did an amazing job and barely can see a scar and been only 3 months now since I had it.

Dr Gottsman spent time explaining my options. At 52, I wasn’t prepared mentally to need a new hip. After my initial appointment, I felt seen & understood. He completed my hip replacement successfully. His staff, nurses & Trevor, NP have been kind, caring & efficient. 89 days out & hiked Preacher’s Rock to enjoy the New Year sunrise. Dr. Gottsman patiently spends time and explains options in a very thorough manner. I was able to get an appointment quickly. His staff is very efficient and kind. I was walked to his office by the X-ray tech where his nurse took me straight into a room to be seen. Very efficient!

I have had a consult on both a hip problem and torn meniscus/full knee replacement. In several appointments he was prompt, very easy to be comfortable with and spent a good amount of time explaining and answering questions.

Dr Michael Gottsman is by far an amazing surgeon ! We have a plan for my left knee next year, which makes me feel at eases. He explains the procedure so you can understand all in detail. He takes the time needed to make you feel comfortable with all that is happening. The surgury pain was less than I thought it would be or was told by many others, I beleive becasue of my surgeon. His staff is 2nd to non also, they are so caring and kind. Thank you all.

Dr. G. performed a total hip replacement for me. A new lease on walking for sure. I felt so comfortable with all office staff as well as Trevor. Dr. G. explained everything that was happening with me. I never felt like an insurance card by anyone in the office. His bedside manner and they way he put my mind at ease before and after surgery was amazing. Both he and his staff called me on numerous occasions after surgery to make sure that I was ok. Follow up visits and therapy were great. Dr. G. will be performing a total hip replacement for my left hip in a month. I feel totally at ease and have the utmost confidence in his ability, knowledge,and skill. I would recommend Dr. G. to both family and friends!!

Dr Gottman and his assistant Trevor Ezell, are both patient, professional, empathetic and skilled. Dr. Gottsman has done both of my total knee replacements and I am so very pleased, especially with the most recent one, done at Northside Forsyth. Both doctors, and the entire Force Therapy Team are responsive and helpful, een on weekends, whenever there is a question or concern. I always recommend this office to friends and family and will continue to consult with them on any future needs (hopefully not any time soon!!!)

Wonderful! Dr. G replaced my 89 year old mom's right hip in March. Several years ago, he was my dad's surgeon for hip repair. Mom was so pleased when she learned that he would be taking care of her, too. Dr. G uses the latest technology and information in treating his patients and he sees them as individuals. It's a comfort to know there are physicians who still consider the "whole" patient and their individual issues/needs. You don't feel like "Patient # xyz when you leave. Thanks.

Dr. Michael Gottsman has now replaced 4 of my joints, and consulted on other issues. In every case, he did everything possible to avoid surgery, and when surgery was the best solution, he let me freely choose it. The surgeries were quick, relatively painless, and totally free of infections. Gottsman is a master of joints, and all his people are also highly competent.

My knee replacement went without a hitch. Dr. Gottsman and his team were extremely efficient and caring. I never needed narcotic medication after my surgery and took ibuprofen and acetaminophen for a short while. My new knee works great. I highly recommend Dr. Gottsman and his team.

Dr. Gottsman is an excellent knee doctor. His name was given to me by a fantastic PA due to a knee injury preventing me from hiking and fishing. Dr. Gottsman is patient, thorough and took the additional effort to consult with radiologist to confirm a meniscus tear which was difficult to find on a MRI. A quick surgery was scheduled return me to exercising and short hike excursions. Thank you Dr. Gottsman

I'm the second person in my family to use Dr Gottsman. We found him to be an accomplished surgeon with a great bedside manner in hospital as well in the office. Very easy to talk to.

He did 2 knee replacements for me-one in 2018-the other 2019. Excellent results. He sent me back to therapy for another 2 wks just to make sure I had full flexibility. He really cares about his patients. Spent plenty of time explaining the procedure.

He did a left clavicle titanium implant several years ago and did an excellent job!

I crushed my knee in an accident and Dr. Gottsman put it back together miraculously! Said I would need knee replacement within couple of yrs. Now has been 14 yrs! He’s an awesome doctor! EHood

I went to Dr Gottsman. My back Dr in Atlanta suggested that I go due to severe pain I was having. I did have an MRI which showed an extensive labral tear in my L hip according to the report. On my follow-up visit with Dr Gottsman he had me look at an MRI and said, "As you see it is a very small tear". I do not know how to read an MRI. He lied to me!!!!! It was indeed a very large tear and pain was due to this problem. Back Dr told me that, "He just did not want me as his patient".

Complete hip replacement. Absolutely greatest medical experience of my life. There are no words of praise worthy enough to describe the total experience. Dr. Gottsman is the man.
