Dr. Michael Hahalyak, DO

Have been going to this Dr for years. Had a recent change in health and completely dismissed and rushed me. I was in tears and he didn’t care.

Recently stopped taking BP meds a little over a month ago and have had 3 high readings in the past few days. Called the hotline and Hahalyak was the doctor on call, I had a BP of 146/106 and only wanted to know if I can just start taking my previous medication again because that scared me. First call refused to answer the question and said to call in the morning. Second call said he already assisted me… no he didn’t. He gave a non-answer and ignored my question. Finding a new doctor that cares about patients more than a paycheck. Dr Sanchez is amazing but Hahalyak should maybe retire….

Been with him for over 40 years found him to be thorough, professional and kind.

At a visit that was one of only a few so far,it proved to be VERY UNCOMFORTABLE! Im not exactly sure of the TRUE relationships that have been established between he and his staff. WHATEVER they may be it'd be appreciative if they'd keep the inappropriate interactions PRIVATE! When you visit your doctor its because your ill and want to get in and out. NOT because you want to witness he rubbing shoulders with his nurses,at the check in window of all places. I couldnt even get this VERY OFFPUTTING nurse to introduce herself so as i may address her properly. I had to do my own research to figure out there is nurse Jen and Erin. Both whom arent very inviting to you as the patient. Im most likely will not return.

People seem to either love or hate this doctor and I can see why. My mom went to him and loved him, so she recommended him to me. He took time with her, really dug into her medical history and did an overall comprehensive exam. During my only appointment, he spent less than ten minutes with me. I have a complex and rare medical condition, which he claimed to know about, but clearly did not. When I brought up that I was randomly rapidly gaining weight, which can often be a bigger issue with my condition, he started telling me how many calories to eat and suggested I go on The South Beach Diet. That wasn't what I was asking! I need to know why I'm gaining weight and what the root issue is when I've changed nothing in my life. Also, I am well within a healthy and normal BMI and weight for my height, so it was completely out of line for him to jump to me dieting. This is how young girls develop eating disorders, by being told they need to diet when they're a perfectly healthy weight.

Dr. Hahalyak is very personable and the staff is awesome. I was looking for a new doctor when I moved to the area, Im glad I picked him. He listens and asks a lot of questions. He comes off as a regular guy not arrogant at all.

Been my Doctor over 30 years. Always takes time to listen and answer all Questions. Seems to have knowledge on latest developments. The best I have encountered of all Doctors over 40 years.

I really liked him..He's personable and he listens to you. He doesn't just rush you in and rush you out! So glad to have found him!

Please do not waste your time going to this doctor. He never lets you finish a sentence and does not take the time needed to talk about your medical condition. He always has a MA in the room and they both are asking questions at the same time. Very rush rush appointment every I go. I recently went for a physical and my time walking in the door and out the door was 34 minutes for everything. I left the office in tears. Looking for a real doctor.

Dr. Hahalyak is great and his office staff is fantastic too! They are Super responsive through MyChart so definitely set that up. They've answered a lot of questions for me very quickly. I was able to get a same-day appointment for some basic blood work through 412-doctors and I'm really glad they sent me here.

Dr Hahalyak is very special Doctor. He is able to communicate very effectively in terms that are non medical I felt I got my monies worth. I made him my PCP.

Dr. Hahalyak Seems quite knowledgeable and up to date on issues when I have visited him. He is always friendly, accessible and takes time to explain things when asked. As we are near the same age (early 60s), it's good to have a PCP like that. FWIW, I work in the healthcare support industry and can recommend DR. H as a PCP.

Simply put the doctor does not care or spend enough time with patients. Dr Hahalyak is also very unprofessional. There were several times I had over heard him say things about myself, one of them included that I just wanted pain pills and that staff needs to be careful around me. Another thing I heard him say to staff is that he already went over too many things with me, and I needed to make another appointment to address all my issues. You're rushed when you go here, and the doctor doesn't care
