Dr. Michael Harrington, MD

I do not know of anyone that has received a 'punch biopsy' of the lower shin without first receiving a local anesthetic to numb the area prior to having the punch pushed into my leg to extract the biopsy. I have mentioned this fact to other physicians, and not one has ever heard of this being done.

Harrington goes above and beyond for his patients.His bedside manner, and his knowledge base are phenomenal. He made me feel comfortable and I felt that he was taking great care of me. I will recommend him to anyone who is thinking about having a surgery.Thank you, Dr. Harrington.

I have had four separate myxofibrosarcoma surgical procedures performed by Dr. Harrington. The first surgery removed the tumor's positive margins in February 2021, the second surgical procedure was a flap/graft later that month. On November 07, 2022 I requested Dr. Harrington review new growth on my shin that was adjacent to my skin graft. During the clinic Dr. Harrington performed a punch biopsy of the growth area, and sent the sample to the pathology lab at Moffitt. Three days later, pathology called me to inform me that my cancer had reoccurred. The third surgery as scheduled for December 6th at Moffitt McKinley. The cancer was removed and I received pathology report of clear margins. On January 3rd, 2023 i had my last procedure of a second skin graft that was adjacent to the original graft. I will see Dr. Harrington this coming Monday, April 24, 2023 at Moffitt McKinley for a follow-up visit to check the graft site's healing.

Dr Harrington has taken care of two skin cancers for me with the greatest of care and invisible scars. As a retired OR nurse I wouldn’t consider going to any other plastic surgeon.

He saved my life. I'm not sure what else I would need to say about the man.

Dr. Harrington is an excellent and caring surgeon. I had to have surgery on my face and was self conscious about the potential results. Dr. Harrington reassured me that he and his team would do their best to eliminate the cancerous area and keep the scarring minimal. Just a couple months after the surgery, the results are amazing and the scar is pretty much non-existant. As scary as it is to think about having to be a Moffitt patient, Dr. Harrington and his team made it a positive experience by providing excellent surgical skills as well as addressing all of my concerns with kindness and compassion.

I saw Dr Harrington for a BA and had my reservations. He was absolutely wonderful and listened and addressed my concerns thoroughly. I am extremely happy with the results and would go back to him in the future. What is also remarkable is I overheard other patients talking about the high level of care they received from Dr Harrington as well.

Dr. Harrington is one of the best physicians i have ever came into contact with. He truely cares about his patients and his communication and manners are rare and refreshing. Truly a skilled surgeon and great person. It is doctors like him that are needed in every area of practiced medicine. 5 stars, would give more if it was an option.

Seriously can’t imagine anyone not LOVING this Dr!!!! He is the best!!! He’s compassionate not just to the patient, but also to the family. He’s a great surgeon and goes above and beyond for his patients! We travel over an hour just to see him, because we trust no one else!

Patients need to ask whether or not the doctor will actually be performing their surgery. My surgery was performed by an intern, which was not clearly disclosed to me beforehand.

Wonderful surgeon! He took his time explaining everything to me and made me feel comfortable letting him do my surgery. I even got a personal follow up call. Highly recommend.

Dr. Harrington and his staff have shown a personal interest and kindness towards me during a difficult time. He has called and texted me after hours to check on me and inform me of results. A very personal touch that is greatly appreciated.

I recently had Basal Cell Carcinoma surgery performed on my face by Dr. Harrington. The day before the surgery he called and spoke about his considerations. You don't find too many doctors who call you the day before surgery or after surgery. He is first of all, very intelligent, remembers your conversation with points of interests. He is patient, a good listener, has impeccable manners, and makes you feel at ease with what seems like the worst outcome ever. What a great doctor!
