Dr. Michael Horan, MD

I had a very unpleasant experience with Dr. Horan and his associates. His staff made me wait for 2+ hours only to be seen for less than 2 minutes at Cleveland Park primary/urgent care clinic. The diagnosis and the prescribed medications were incorrect and I ended up in ER the next day with sepsis alert. He did not take time to compassionately hear me out and ask questions to understand my condition. He briskly diagnosed me to get it over with and move to the next patient. The clinic seemed like a conveyor belt with unmotivated robotic associates collecting paychecks who are lacking simple compassion and not treating patients like human beings and souls who are in pain. I don't think they would appreciate doctors treating their own children this way. I hope they realize one day than medicine is the profession that REQUIRES compassion and kindness and should NOT be about money.

Dr. Horan was dismissive of my symptoms and history. I have been having burning throat for 4 days, acidic or bitter taste in mouth, have had several rashes on my feet, particularly on the night of 2/15/2019, I had to put athlete's feet cream on it for the itching to stop and the rash to go away overnight, I feel tired, foggy head. I told the doctor I was just diagnoses with diabetes on 2/13. I said I had had several episodes of candidiasis in the past. Now I have rashes in my groin, and back

I went in for an annual physical. Horan asked me about my pre-existing conditions to which I said I had pre-existing back pain. He didn't diagnose me or treat me at that time. Couple of weeks later, to my surprise, I received a $200+ bill. Apparently, Horan had charged my annual physical as an office visit to treat my lower back pain. Similar to a previous review, Horan seems very unethical and maybe fraudulently charging the insurance companies.

He was my sister's psychiatrist and billed insurance for meeting with her after she died. He has a nice manner but seems unethical. I spoke with the staff at the nursing home who said that he does not meet with all of the patients that he says that he does. They know that he is billing insurance faudulantly, but no one is reporting it.
