Dr Kaempf saved my kidneys. The compassion he has for his patients is beyond excellent. I sure could use him now. So sad he retired.

Appeared not to care
Reading the many positive reviews, i feel like I was assigned the Evil Twin Doctor. Dr. Kaempf always seemed rushed, like a fire was burning elsewhere and he had to get there pronto. He resented questions, did not explain my condition, told me I needed to "see the smart guys"in nephrology. After a recent ureteral stent placement, one stent fell out three days after placement. At the office appointment to remove the second stent, both doctor and assistant seemed very rushed. Though I was 15 minutes early, they were behind. Seeing me clearly cut into their lunch. In the few days post stent removal I had both fever and pain, and when I called the office No One Ever Called Me Back. I was glad to hear the doc is retiring as I didn't feel safe in his hands. Wish I'd been able to be treated by the kind, caring doc so many others apparently saw. Grateful for the stents he place on an emergency basis,he seemed to do a good job of that. But if he hadn't retired, I would have changed doctors.

A Super Urologist
Super. My urologist for over 15 years through kidney stones, prostrate cancer, etc. Very affable and willing to discuss his plan and treatment suggestions as well as listen carefully to me. I have recommended him to several friends and relatives and all of them were very pleased. He goes way above average in his concern for the patients and their feelings.

Vasectomy reversal. EXCELLENT results - ill effects of a vasectomy were completely relieved. Would recommend without hesitation, but also recommend that a patient ensure the sutures are not left to an amateur... ask about this beforehand. (Dr. Kaempf's were textbook perfect & nearly invisible; a PA finished up the other incision for him with *inferior* results)

Dr. Kaempf is very thorough, thoughtful, and the best at what he does. It's been 7 years since he performed my surgery and he's been on top of follow up every step of the way. There aren't many doctors out there who would describe my outcome as 'delightful,' but I appreciate it very much. May God bless him and guide his hands in everything he continues to do. As for the last visit, that was over the phone due to this COVID 19 business. We had a great conversation... and we couldn't be happier with the latest results. If thee were another word he'd use to top "delightful," it would be "fantastic." "Thank you."

I could not be more pleased than I am with Dr. Kaempf, who removed my cancerous prostate via a robot-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy (RALP) about a month ago. Dr. Kaempf is kind, gentle, wise, and highly skilled. I'm quite impressed with him and his entire support team. I'm going to be OK, and I'm truly grateful.
