Time to take down your shingle Dr Michael Kaufman
I visited Dr. Kaufman at least twice between 2023 through 2024 for upper respiratory viruses that left me with a cough that lingered for well over three weeks. I work in an elementary school so am sick again. New doc at different practice in town heard me wheezing (without the stethoscope). I, myself, have heard this wheezing for years as I fall asleep at night. I was finally prescribed an inhaler that I have needed for years. Dr K would not consider an inhaler. My coughs no longer last for 3-4 weeks. Imagine my embarrassment (not to mention loss of wages) at having lost so much work.

VERY DISMISSIVE
This review is for my father and grandmother, who both see Dr Kaufman. My grandmother who is 91 yrs old has been complaining about a pain in her back for 4 years. Dr Kaufman dismissed and said it was a muscle. Come to find, it ended up being a 5 inch mass on her kidney found by an ER doc. Kaufman didn't care to explore any further and told her 'she looked healthy'. He did the same thing with my father, 75 yrs old. dismissed all his symptoms for years, come to find he has stage 4 prostate cancer. If you are serious or worried about your health, DO NOT SEE THIS DR!!

I've been seeing Dr. Kaufman for a year now for asthma related issues, and have finally taken the time to say what an effective and compassionate doctor he's been to me. I presented with asthma, which he managed to get completely under control swiftly while also addressing my other problems such as stomach upset and tremors. He was one of the first doctors I've ever met that actually listened to what I had to say without interruption or a condescending attitude. He goes above and beyond always.

Semi Retired, does not do much, refers you to specialist for everything. Does very little to help you., not recommended.
