Dr. Michael Klein, DPM

Dr. Klein is an excellent physician. Personable, takes the time do diagnose your problem, while still efficient with his and my time. A mutual friend and my wife are also loyal patients of his. My foot is already feeling a lot better after yesterday’s visit. Thank you!

I owe a debt of gratitude to Dr. Klein and his staff, including Michelle. I have generally been in good health but was recently experiencing some pain in my lower calf / above the ankle. I assumed it was related to my Plantar Fasciitis and went to Norther VA Foot & Ankle where I was previously seen. Dr. Klein asked me a series of questions, and it immediately caught his attention that my condition may not be foot-related at all but rather a possible blood clot after I had a surgery for a small hernia the previous week. Dr. Klein and his assistant, Michelle, called around to get me an appointment for a same-day scan. Sure enough, it turned out to be a blood clot (actually two) which I am now being treated for. Dr. Klein even called me that evening to check on the outcome of my scan. I really appreciate Dr. Klein making the connection, encouraging me to get the scan right away in order to be safe, and his overall concern. I highly recommend Dr. Klein and Northern VA Foot & Ankle!

I have been seeing Dr. Klein for 10 years. He impressed me with his kind and compassionate care from the very first visit. He listens to my symptoms and asks questions that help diagnose and treat them effectively. He is honest about what will or will not help the problem. He also will not try to lead you to unnecessary surgery. He and his staff work well together. They make a great effort in providing information about costs which is important to me. I highly recommend Dr. Klein.

Dr Klein is a great listener and breaks down medical terminology so patients can understand various treatment options. Highly recommend him for any toenail issues!!

Dr. Klein works thoroughly with a sense of practicality and function. He takes into account personal circumstances and needs of his patients. He is an excellent clinician for prevention and routine care as well as providing emergency care like removing glass in the foot or treating painful growth plates. Office staff is thoughtful, friendly, and efficient.

I’m a little bit Squamish as far as doctors go but Dr. Klein went above and beyond to help me and to show me what was wrong and where the problem was and descriptive detail and how he could help fix it. I would say he’s at the top 10% of doctors I’ve ever met. He’s outstanding, has outstanding bedside manner, and his office is outstanding too!

Always a pleasure to see Dr. Klein... even when I happen to be in pain. He is always friendly and takes his time listening and explaining.

Greeted by office staff, felt safe, clean space, friendly technicians and Dr Klein was pleasant and friendly as usual. He listened well and came up with an updated plan from my last visit. Promptly treated, and easy to make an appt to return in 3 months.

He was very helpful in explaining my issues and the Xrays. He offered several treatments for me to use and discouraged surgery until many years in the future.

DR KLEIN HAS HELPED TO CURE A FEW THINGS. AT FIRST HE HEALED A NASTY ULCER ON THE BIG TOE WITH A SPECIAL MEDICINE THAT HAD TO BE ORDERED. BEFORE THAT I THOUGHT AN ULCER WAS A STOMACH PROBLEM HE MADE A HAMMER TOE STRAIGHT WHICH ALLOWED A NASTY SOAR ON THE TOE TIP TO HEAL. THERE IS STILL A NAIL ON A TOE THAT IS HURTING WHEN I WALK. HE IS STILL WORKING ON THAT ONE. HE IS VERY EASY TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT YOUR PROBLEMS.

Had a sliver of glass in the side of my foot. My primary said go to Urgent Care, so I did and all I got was a few X-rays and a tetanus shot! Called the office because I had seen Dr Gromly in the past. I called a bit after 9 they gave me 10:30 appt the same day. Less than half hour later Dr Klein used ultrasound to find and remove the glass. Awesome!!!!

This office was by far one of the best doctor visits l went to. Everyone was so friendly and very helpful. Dr Klein was awesome and explained everything patiently.
