Dr Lim is a compassionate brilliant surgeon that gave me my life back. I suffered from trigeminal neuralgia and could not find a drug that would help my pain. The side affects of the drugs prohibited me from taking them. I had double vision, liver damage, and stomach cramping to name a few.. Dr. Lim saw the problem on my MRI and told me he could help me. I broke into tears. I was extreme Depressed and felt like my life was slipping away with the pain I was experiencing. Dr Lim gave me hope. I had micro vascular decompression surgery on April 3, 2019 and on June 10, 2019 I was playing on the beach with my grandchildren pain free. I thank God and Dr. Lim for my life back. Dr. Lim is a wonderful, patient, highly skilled surgeon. Kendall Sharpe

I highly recommend Dr Lim. He is a brilliant doctor. He explains the diagnosis, treatment plans, and recovery thoroughly. Dr Lim treated me for Trigeminal Neuralgia. He performed a decompression surgery in October 2018. The surgery and recovery went as planned. I now have my life back. I am very thankful to Jehovah and Dr Lim for my outcome.

I had unexpected brain surgery for removal of a meningioma on January 15, 2019. I felt confident in Dr. Lim's care from the very beginning and never questioned what I believed would be a positive outcome and recovery. He was very supportive and knowledgeable about the procedure he was going to perform. I felt there was genuine concern and a strong commitment in his care and treatment of me. Dr. Lim's team was likewise very responsive and supportive during my care.

The very first meeting with Dr. Lim left me in tears. He understood what I was going through. He compassionately told me that I didn’t need to live this way and that there is a solution to my pain. It was so comforting to hear that I did have options available to me that didn’t include 20 plus pills a day to just bring the pain to a reasonable level. From the moment I left his office my husband and I knew we were in not only good hands but the best possible hands for my surgery.

Dr. Lim performed a fairly straightforward craniotomy on me on July 3rd. The procedure was done to remove a low grade glioma from the right frontal lobe of my brain. He was referred to me by my childhood friend who happens to be a neurooncologist. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Lim, his care, or the performance of his team. I was always made very comfortable, he always takes his time with his patients and cares for them deeply. I would highly recommend seeing him if you require ne

I highly recommended Dr. Lim to anyone who needs to undergo brain surgery. I visited Johns Hopkins Hospital for a second opinion after a diagnosis of a low grade glioma. I was immediately impressed by Dr. Lim upon our first meeting. He is humble, compassionate, and incredibly intelligent. He is very honest and reassuring. I had an incredibly successful surgery and I feel so lucky to have him as my neurosurgeon. I trust him with my life. He is absolutely wonderful!

Dr. Lim saves my life! I am 72, diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia & suffered severe electric-shock pain. In my 1st OV, Dr. Lim listened patiently & described fully my options. Dr.Lim performed MVD in Aug & I resumed all my daily activities within 2 weeks. I took an 18-day Europe tour 7 weeks after surgery. I’m pain free for 4 months now. Dr Lim is compassionate, thorough, and has great bedside manner. Equally impressed is his caring team: PA Carla Scott, Sam, & Soto. I highly recommend Dr. Lim

I recommend Dr. Lim to those suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia. He is a compassionate, humble and top-notch surgeon at one of the best-rated teaching hospitals in the country. My friend Doris found him online and thought he was the "right doctor" for me. I quickly concurred and scheduled a consultation on October 16 and surgery on Oct 31. It has been 6 weeks and I am pain-free and off the meds. I thank God every day for using this incredible doctor to heal me from this awful disorder.

If you are lucky enough to have Hopkins in your reach you shouldn’t consider any other option. If you are really fortunate, you have Dr. Lim as your surgeon. I had a craniotomy for a meningioma at the end of July and could resume my normal schedule within 10 days. Dr. Lim’s expertise and the amazing care after surgery in the NCCU (big shout out to Emily and Allison) had me out the door within 48 hours and on to a swift and complication free recovery.

I was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia 7 years ago. After experiencing surges of electric shocks on one side of my face...I began to research my best form of defense against the pain. I started with a neurologist. She recommended Lyrica. I lived on that to dim the pain. Six years went by with pain occurring more frequent. I was lucky enough to have Johns Hopkins Hospital in my backyard and Dr. Lim to perform the MVA surgery. Two weeks out “ Pain Free”.

I'm 69 yr old female from Phila,PA. Dr. Lim operated in 2012 for benign meningioma near my brain stem which pressed on my trigeminal nerve causing severe facial shocks. I couldn't talk, eat, or swallow. I became allergic to 4 successive drugs to relieve pain. Gamma knife wouldn't work over the bony ridge, so I had a craniotomy--a 6 hr operation. I had utmost confidence in Dr. Lim's skill. He answered questions with patience and precision. I'm 5 years out playing pickleball every day! Great man!

Dr. Lim is compassionate, knowledgeable, experienced, and listens to his patients. When another neurosurgeon and a neurologist in my town would not treat me because I didn't fit in their "normal" medical definition, Dr. Lim saw my pain, listened to me, and was willing to go outside the box. He proposed surgery which another neurosurgeon said couldn't be done. Dr. Lim was willing to try the surgery, and it was completely successful. I truly recommend Dr. Lim to anyone!

Dr. Lim removed a nearly 1-inch acoustic neuroma. Throughout the entire process he was upfront and frank about the surgery, the likely recovery experience, and the reasons the surgery was urgent. But he was also supportive and comforting (and even phoned upon learning my diagnosis from the MRI when he was on the other side of the world, to provide comfort and reassurance).

I would recommend Dr. Michael Lim to anyone who has been diagnosed or suffers with Trigeminal Neuralgia. He is very upfront and honest in explaining the disease, the procedures that could be done and the possible side effects of each procedure. He is an excellent surgeon and he has cured my trigeminal nerve issue for me. I cannot say enough excellent comments to fully explain my confidence and satisfaction with his surgery done and his staff.
