Dr. Lipcan was not helpful to me at all. He did not listen to my symptoms or concerns. He belittled me constantly and asked me the same questions at every appointment. He barely even took the time to speak with me at appointments. He seemed rushed and dismissive. I am switching to another doctor and am finally getting some answers and help.

Disappointed
Didn't listen, felt like I was being talked at rather than having a conversation. Dismissed my nervousness. Discouraged personal research. Will be finding a new provider.

Been his patient for over 10 years now…
On Dec. 2023 I had a delayed colonoscopy ( due to Covid constraints) after a positive result using Colorguard. Dr. Lipcam met with my son & husband and me to discuss a suspicious polyp that came back cancerous. He was very kind and delivered the cancer diagnosis with compassion, professionalism and concern. We are most grateful for his expertise and follow up. I had surgery last February 2023 and next week I will be coming in for my one year follow up colonoscopy with Dr.Lipcam. I enjoy his down to earth personality and facility with explaining complicated medical procedures to the rest of us. My cancer seems to have been contained to that area and we are under watch. I highly recommend his services. Office and facilities are beautiful and never had problems making appointments.

Entirely useless
Dr. Lipcan was treating my son, after he’d started being unable to keep solid food down, and losing over 30lbs in 3 months. The only procedure he performed was an endoscopy. Which came up with nothing. Eventually he basically just said “Sorry, there’s nothing I can do for you”. Our new gastroenterologist got my son in for a second endoscopy and a colonoscopy. And within a couple of days figured out that my son has Crohn’s disease.

Do not Recommend
Being a female patient. He was very respectful in that aspect. He asked for permission and told me everywhere he had to touch/do. Besides that, he is very condescending and will belittle you the entire appointment. He made all my symptoms out to be nothing worthy of doing anything further and referred me back to my referring doctor stating it wasn’t a GI issue. (When all of my symptoms are GI related) He is snarky and pompous. If I wasn’t desperate for help I would’ve walked out. I will be cancelling my follow up appointment and going someplace else

I met with Dr. Lipcan for a consultation and found him to be exceptionally friendly, engaged and thorough. He was well briefed on my medical history prior to the discussion and had reviewed the requested records to avoid repetitive questions. After confirming what he had read, he went about understanding my condition and how he could help. He ultimately recommended I see another specialist based on his findings, and I felt well served by the overall process. I would recommend this doctor without hesitation.

Dr. Lipcan has a condescending bedside manner. He also is not interested in doing more than the bare minimum. As a result, I switched to a different doctor who was terrible. I then went to a third doctor in the same practice and she was awful too! Since then I have found a different specialist. Stay away from Dr. Lipcan.

Not a very helpful or nice doctor. Spoke down to me as a patient, was argumentative for no reason, and most importantly, he does not listen to the patient. I would not trust his judgment. People go to doctors for help. Staff was nice, access to office easy in Guilford, parking free and plentiful.

This is my second review of this doctor,. HE IS RECKLESS he told me Had non Hodgkins Lymphoma without any corroboration he then, after being told I did not want to see him again, and was transferring care, and I called and cancelled my follow up appointment, he called me and TAUNTED me stating I had LYMPHOMA and laughing at me. He is unprofessional HE IS RUDE HE IS EVIL and he should be reprimanded. After all that I suffered an acute gastric hemorrhage from a second procedure and have lived a living HELL since my initial visit with. him mid September 2019. ABSOLUTE JERK.

I found him to be pleasant but his follow up is terrible. Have called the office several times over a two week period with a question and never received a response. Will take my business elsewhere, i.e. to a doctor who shows his patients respect.

Great guy. I'm facing a pretty scary problem and have had 3 recent visits with him. He carefully reviewed by information and test results and answered my questions - even called me over a weekend to be sure I was ok.

Would not ever chose this doctor again. He has an attitude problem, little to no interest in his patient, but does seem to have plenty of time available. Told me that his recommendations were a shot in the dark. He said he did not have enough information to diagnose but did not even do any testing until suggested by my wife, & then ordered the minimum. Did not call with the test results & when I finally tracked him down he said he did not have enough information to suggest what to do.
