Dr. Martin is very easy to talk to and tells you what you need to know. He has made my journey with stage IV lung cancer so much better than I believed possible. I have recommended him to two different friends and they love him as well.

Best!
I read other reviews and can understand that everyone has bad days and maybe he seems curt to some but I’ve never felt that way with him! When he announced that I had Stage 4 Cancer, he was right to the point and I appreciated that! Some might be offended by that! He has been my oncologist for 10 years and I am very grateful that he is!

Rude and unhy
I was referred to dr Martin by another doctor. When I met with him he immediately cut me off and said my issue were not in his area. He was the most arrogant and condescending doctor I have ever met. He acted like I asked to be here and as if it was my fault that not one but two doctors referred me to him. He stated that my condition was not in his area but when I researched doctors that treated my condition a hematologist was one of two types that did. I’m assuming that his cocky attitude as if I was was this time was really just his lack of knowledge with my condition that he should know about.

I have been his patient for almost 7 years. My family and I think he is wonderful. He is brilliant, has a fantastic memory, and keeps up with the very latest in cancer research. He is not hesitant to refer his patients for more testing if he thinks there is a reason for it. Memphis is lucky to have such a fine, dedicated doctor.

No bedside manner! All he kept telling my husband was...YOUR GOING TO DIE! YES, Dr. Martin he did but a little compassion, especially in your field would have been nice. Thereafter, you told us your sister was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer..I certainly hope she had a compassionate Doctor. Shame....even the nurse in the room was astonished by your words! She hugged me in the hallway and said she was sorry..

Really excellent care, listens, helps, does everything possible to make the process easy on both the patient and family, takes time to recognize the person behind the cancer. Felt lucky to have him as our oncologist.
