Waiting over an hour to be seen
I had an appointment and, after waiting for an hour, I inquired with the receptionist about when I would be seen, as it had already been an hour. She responded that she did not know and it could be a couple more hours. This seemed very unprofessional to me because everyone's time is valuable, and one cannot wait all day for Dr. Michael Martinez.

Sept 2022, hiatal hernia repair surgery, first evaluation impressive, all downhill immediately after. Staff not on top of your case, did not keep me informed, had to keep calling. Forced me to go to Mission hospital because of their delays, very bad hospital. Martinez never saw me again after surgery, never examined me B4 discharge. Ended up with two pulmonary embolism week after discharge. Hospitalized at Knapp hospital emergency 4 to5 day care on blood thinners. Would never go to Martinez again, never refer him, the worse experience In my life.

Excellent Doctor and staff. Highly recommend Dr. M
Dr. Michael repaired my hernia at the Mission Hospital. His brother Matthew PA. was very professional too. They both are kind and excellent doctors. I had no problems with them or the nursing staff at their offices or at the hospital. Everything would have gone perfect if only one office knows what the other office is up too. Also the offices don't have clear communication with the hospital. The clerks couldn't get their heads together with the hospital clerks. Other than that, all was perfect. All my needs were met by excellent nursing staff. I had never met a surgical staff that kept you happy and laughing till I fell asleep. The anesthesiologist and his nurse were so cute and funny that I would like them for all my surgeries. From the minute I went into the hospital till I got out 3 days later, all went great. Mission Regional Hospital Nursing staff are on their toes and take real good care of you. You put on the call bell and they are there within 30 seconds with a smile.
