I got to meet his new PA. She was very nice and will make a great addition to the family-team

I’ve been seeing Dr McCusker for over two years now. He gave me hope where my previous oncologist basically signed my death certificate. Dr McCusker answered all questions you have and makes you feel like you are his only patient. He takes time to research new therapies, gets excited for your results, and motivates you to want to get better.

Dr. outstanding in ALL aspects. Explained diagnosis & prognosis THOROUGHLY. Along with his sense of humor, compassion, and understanding of the patients wants & needs, he is one of the best.

He spends time with his patients, especially when first diagnosed and includes family members.The only thing I would like is to see him more often which I think is beginning to happen now.When Dr. Gemma first told me he was going to be my new Doctor, it was a long time before I saw him again and I didn't like him, but he's growing on me, and I would highly recommend him!!!

Dr. McCusker is very attentive and answered all of my questions. He didn't rush my appointment and made sure I felt comfortable with our plan of action.

Dr. McKusker's interest in the comprehensive history I compiled during my wife's 2023 breast cancer experience, from initial prognosis to final proclamation by her surgeon that she had been cured. Dr. McKusker was at all times attentive and courteous, examined my wife, and prescribed a medication for rash.

Dr. McCusker has been a godsend. He has pulled me out of the fire many times. He has been very available and pleasant on the phone and has been willing to see me quickly for new problems. His diagnostic accumen is spot on and his advice is delivered in kind and understandable language. All the folks who work with Dr. McCusker are equally helpful.

I have been dealing with my cancer since 2010, currently I have Metastatic Breast Cancer. I have retired 2 oncologists. My case is very complicated due to other medical issues. He works with me and my other doctors to keep my treatment going well and my quality of life stable. He listens and is very informative. My first appointment with Dr. McCusker, I told him that I have plans for the future and he has to keep me alive for those plans. I was able to see my youngest son graduate from high school in 2023. Now my grandson says I have to be at his graduation in 2028. I absolutely love Dr. McCusker and everyone at Shenandoah Oncology. They are like family and totally get my sarcasm. I can’t forget Rodney, he is like that crazy best friend you didn’t know you needed.

Dr McCusker is very open and real in his treatment and follow ups. He answers questions openly and honestly and makes one very comfortable in his care.

As a chronically ill patient, I have seen dozens of doctors over the last twenty years. Dr McCusker stands out for the amount of time and interest he has given me, explaining things clearly and with helpful suggestions. He seems to grasp complex situations such as mine extremely quickly, unlike other doctors who are overwhelmed by the complicated nature of my health situation. It's hard to find a doctor who clearly cares and is interested in helping me in my situation, and he shines out as one of the few who truly does. Highly recommended.

From the very first meeting with Dr McCuster, MD Personally had a extreme level of trust and wanted to allow for a Medical relationship with the center. He gave me the impression that he would be there for me as I traveled though this thing called Cancer.
