Dr. Michael McNamara, MD

Staff were all very professional and timely. X-Ray was taken within minutes after the nurse check-in. X-Ray was completed quickly. Dr. M arrived about 5 minutes later with a clear and concise description of the issue, and recommended solutions. He didn't extra time to personialize the visit. Visit was recorded, so he didn't have to spend any time taking notes. A referral sheet with detailed instructions was provided and I was able to take that right to the PT's office without delay.

As a longtime physical therapist I have seen my share of back patients and back surgeries. When faced with my own aging back issues, I was very confident in entrusting my diagnosis and care to Dr McNamara. My appointment was excellent from start to finish. My appointment was not rushed and I felt listened to and respected as a fellow health care professional. He thoroughly explained his findings; explained a step by step plan and his thought process for addressing my issues. Surgery was not needed at this time and he had good suggestions and a time frame for conservative measures to try first. He is professional, efficient and very knowledgable, but it is seasoned with a warm and genuine care for his patients and he is insistent on the quality of care he gives, not the number of patients he can see in a day.

After four years of severe back pain, and seeing many doctors with numerous MRIs, etc., Dr. McNamara, was the first to explain my serious condition and the surgery that I needed. He is extremely knowledgeable and took each test and explained in explicit detail, comparing from each what was wrong and what needed to be done. He thoroughly listened patiently and answered my questions and concerns. He even wrote down my specific back issues and told me to research them,write down any questions and to call his office so they can be explained. I have the confidence that he will successfully address my problems & pain.

Dr. McNamara was very professional and easy to talk to. I left with complete confidence that he fully understood my problems and had an effective plan for successfully addressing them. He patiently listened to and answered my questions. I highly recommend Dr. McNamara.

Wait time minimal. Did not recommend surgery and had several other suggestions. Very pleasant personality. Enjoyed our visit. Would return.

Dr McNamara was so very nice to me and my husband He was and is extremely knowledgeable about my spinal disease. He made a plan for the surgeries that I need.He was honest and upfront about the seriousness of my spine and what he intends to do,but I need to get myself ready for the surgery first. He is very confident and made me feel confident in his abilities. He was able to fix a surgery that I had done in an emergency situation at a different hospital.

Dr. McNamara is one of the best orthopedic doctors in Middle Tennessee. I travel 3 hours to see him and another specialist at the Bone and Joint Clinic. He assured me while I was in tears during my first visit that he would help me feel better. I knew surgery was inevitable and he was magnificent. I have been to several specialists and he is by far one of the best.

And he was quick to assure me that we had many options before any discussions of surgery.

This was not my 1st visit to see Dr. McNamara but each time I do I see the same high standards that he has always been known for. Not just for himself but he has shown me how to achieve my own "high standard ". There is more to being a doctor than passing ur boards and writing MD after ur name. I believe Dr. McNamara provides the best care that is available anywhere.

My whole experience here with Dr.McNamara was great ! The staff was pleasant and polite, I was seen on time and the facility was very nice and clean ! Dr.McNamara took time with me and let me know he could fix my back and made me feel comfortable about it . I am so glad I made the decision to come here and I am looking forward to my next visit and I am ready for this surgery so I can get back to living life !

He was recommended by another trusted Dr. It was a good visit and he let me know no surgery was needed and he is going to help with my constant pain. I’m looking forward to it.

McNamara tried to rush me out of the ofc and make his $300 off Medicare! Totally uncompassionate about my needs. He didn't offer any P.T., any reduction in pain solutions or productivity advice for the handicapped problems I presented to him.

The visit went well, easy and quick check-in and after short wait was called back by the nurse. With-in 5-10 minutes Dr. McNamara came in and went over my situation and explained the cause of my pain. He then went over the treatment plan which starts with physical therapy. We want to avoid surgery.

I was more than pleased with the total experience. Staff was great. Dr. McNamara gave full attention. Shared options for treatment. Very personable. Will def recommend and will cont to seek help form him.

Have had three procedures completed by this sometime egotistical professional. He is a wonderful surgeon and listens to a patient. He has God given brilliance, a plus for patients who might have difficult spinal problems. You will never find a spinal surgeon better able to make you pain free. Because he has been so caring over the years, I love him dearly. ,

Dr. McNamara is very knowledgeable and presents the facts in an easy to understand personable manner. Gives you treatment plan with options and expectations. He appears to be genuinely concerned about your outcome.
