Reviews are often the result of the outcome of your visit. Dr. Mellman was one of the more detailed and supportive doctors I've visited. Discussed in detail the procedure, repeated items I showed of concern. He put me at ease at my first visit. The procedure was as he explained, in plain non-medical lingo. All worked out but I always felt in good hands.

I was a patient of Dr. Mellman's before he moved to Hagen-Ranch Rd. I switched because that was just too far north from Broward County where I live. He was great, his staff was great. When he moved, he was still great but got this ice-cold 'broad' to replace the sweet lady who retired and that mixed with the new office just made the decision.

Office rooms dirty. Brought into room & had to sit next to another patient’s used alcohol wipe & dirty glove. Not professional- who knows whom that used waste was used on especially in covid times. Brought to another room to wait. Dr. Mellman was efficient.

Dr. Mellmann is one of the best endo's I have ever had in the 32 years I've been a diabetic. He is caring, thoughtful, and personable when it comes to his patients and their families. I've been his patient for 7 years now and I refuse to go anyone else. His office staff is also very helpful especially when it came to med changes and pharmacy changes. Hands down, best doctor ever.

I am a physician and it is hard to find good, reliable practitioners. Dr. Mellman is such. He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, kind, and thorough. I never felt the absence of excellence in my dealings with him. He spends enough time with me though the waiting room is full. His front desk is friendly and assists rather than retards.

Granted he got my blood sugar numbers down. Hence 2 stars and not 1. BUT, holy cow he is HORRIBLE with patients. I had 5 yes 5 Drs. Tell me on a recent hospital stay I was on WAY WAY WAY to much insulin. So much my numbers were bottoming out in the 40s. He did More harm than good.

I will not use him again because he was in a rush and I felt that he did not care about me as a patient. He had other people waiting in the waiting room. I came to him with a new problem - that of a 7.4 a1C diabetic reading. His answer was" well you are on Prednisone and I know you cannot discontinue it. If you WANT to take Metformin, I will give you an Rx". With that he was too busy to look up the FAX of the Publix that I told him to send the Rx to and handed me the Rx. That was no answer

He is definitely a type-A personality - rather high-strung and always in a rush, but his skills are excellent. I went to him after having had an extremely bad experience with my former endocrinologist, and Dr Mellman was like a fresh breeze. I only left him because I changed medical insurance to a provider he did not cover. I am sorry I had to leave him.
