Dr. Merrick was very professional and answered all my questions. He was able to correct the problems that were keeping me in pain and unable to walk easily. The surgery was successful and I am very pleased with the results. I would highly recommend him to anyone with spine problems!

The prospect of spinal surgery terrified me, so I avoided seeing anyone until I could no longer bear it. One visit with Dr. Merrick and I am confident my PCP was correct - this is the go-to surgeon for my issues. He showed me the images of my back and gave me detailed analysis of the problems and alternatives. I am blessed to have been sent to him.

Love his communication skills and ability to talk about my diagnosis and surgery in such a way that my husband and I understood everything involved. He thoroughly explained the surgical procedure using the MrI to help us understand what was involved.. The confidence he displayed in his surgical ability to deal with my difficult medical issue, immediately put me at ease & I knew I chose the right surgeon. It was also comforting to discover that not only was Dr. Merrick very down to earth but also a strong Christian. A member of his nursing staff related her testimony and both my husband and I felt a sense of peace with our choice.

Godly, honest, trustworthy physician. Cares for the positive outcome of the patient. Praying before surgery was much appreciated and sealed the outcome in my mind.

I just finished my post-op visit with Dr. Merrick. He did my neck surgery a month ago and today was all good news! I feel great, and the recovery has been great. He is a wonderful surgeon, and most especially a kind and caring doctor. I highly recommend him if you need spinal care of any kind.

He took time to listen to what I was concerned about and explained everything to me in a way I could understand my treatment.

Dr Merrick was very personable. He asked questions & listened carefully. After some conversation he pulled up the MRI & explained to us what we were looking at & what needed to be done & why. He made me feel like I was talking to my brother.

Nothing good to say!! He inspected MRI/X-ray & said it is not bad enough. I guess the pain on my left/hip is nothing??

He explained my test scans to me where me and my husband understood everything he was talking about. I felt vey comfortable with him. His staff was very nice as well. Dr. Michael Merrick is professional, polite, and thorough. I had a posterior lumbar fusion surgery, L4, L5, due to right leg pain radiating from a knee to ankle. I no longer have that pain. He listens and takes time to answer my questions. I feel he cares about me as a patient and I would highly recommend him to my family and friends.
