Dr. Michael Moriarty, DO

I asked for paperwork to be filled out acknowledging my current disability status of more than 10 years in order to discharge my student loan.He laughed in my face and said he would not be doing so, going so far as to say I was making it all up.I will now be switching to a different PCP because I don't need my doctor treating me this disrespectfully.

I have had high calcium levels and my primary Dr always said not really a big deal. I had blood work done last week and was high. I saw him today and he said I should get tested again my primary would not have. I am very happy with how my visit turned out. He is great friendly.

Dr. Moriarty willingly squeezed me into his very busy schedule even though I am not one of his patients. His care, concern and thoroughness were apparent to me, and very helpful. I would recommend him highly to anyone in need of a care provider.

My doctor of 20 years left the group a couple of years ago and I had to choose a new PCP. I reviewed the doctors in Hartford Healthcare and decided on Dr. Moriarty. I am very happy with my choice. I want a doctor that listens to my concerns and opinions and discusses treatments with me. I highly recommend Dr. Moriarty.

Was home sick, called office, finally got a call back and he asked ME what medicine I WANTED. I reminded him he was the doctor Unbelievable conduct

I was looking forward to being evaluated by a DO, as I heard they take a whole-istic approach to medicine, which I feel is lacking in many doctors. I read some of the 5 star reviews here and have to say that I had a very different experience. I found Dr M to be very cursory and somewhat dismissive, repeating tests that the nurse and an intern had run, in addition to tests that were done in urgent care, likely because he didn't trust their results. Although I tried to give a comprehensive background, he didn't really seem to take that into account during his extremely brief exam. I also didn't find him to be very personable and often just felt like a body in a room. They couldn't get me out of there fast enough. I left with no diagnosis, advice, or inkling on what could be going on. I am friendly and polite, so this whole visit left me feeling very confused and frustrated.

Listens carefully, asks about concerns,...uses words to prompt concerns if you might not think of items not mentioned that you think might be ordinary and brush off. Allays fears and offers suggestions

Dr. Moriarty was on time, methodically went through my history, asked probing questions to get info I may not have thought to share and set me up with all the appropriate follow ups - based on my age and gender to be sure he gets a complete picture of my health. He even checked for possible contra-indications for the Shingles shot based on my medical history. He’s a very patient doctor that made me totally comfortable. I’m glad I found him.

I think Dr.Moriarty is a good doctor, he doesn’t say a lot but also could come off as “shy” but I think overall he knows what he is talking about and first impression was pretty solid. I wish he would have talked more but again first time patient. Still very good experience, office is super clean and nice. Staff is friendly.
