I use to see Dr. Naptel, when he retired I was refer to Dr. Norris & I saw him 3 times, I can't believe what he is saying to me regarding my condition. I think he should stop practicing since he told me that he his older than me & I will be 78.

Absolutely Awful Experience with Dr. Norris
Do not under any circumstances use Dr. Norris from Coast Urological Medical Group. Condescending, does not answer questions, yells at patients, calls patients names and provides terrible medical care. I can't warn you enough about this doctor and wish I'd read his reviews all over the internet prior to seeing him.

Horrible Experience
I'm writing this on behalf of my partner, he had a horrible experience with Dr. Norris. The doctor spoke over him, disregarded his symptoms, and wouldn't allow him to continue a treatment that has side effects for quitting abruptly.

The worst experience for my non verbal son
This was absolutely the worst experience with a doctor ever. This doctor was rude and did not listen to my concerns regarding my non verbal son. He was even bothered by my question and didn’t want to help me find a solution for my child’s pain. I highly discourage anyone from seeing this specialist.

Terrible service
Part 2 As if things couldn’t have gotten any worse, my husband ended up running a high fever after several days that was caused by his failed attempt of removing the stent and the only thing we can think of is that my husband likely developed an infection. I immediately brought my husband to Los Alamitos Medical Center for immediate assistance who ran tests after tests and confirmed that my husband did in fact had an infection unfortunately, we were told that only the Dr. that has placed the stent can remove it. (concern regarding my husband feeling uncomfortable after what he’s going through with this specific Dr. was expressed to the hospital) ultimately, hospital weren’t able to do anything for us so my husband was stuck with this Dr. who obviously isn’t competent. Only if I can turn back time I would have NEVER taken my husband to this Dr. Instead of getting treated Dr. Norris for sure caused us mental, physical, and financial stress.

I went in to see Dr Norris as a new patient. A referral from my primary. We switched insurances in Dec. of 21. I was seeing another urologist bf that but in Jan.of 22 she was no longer in my network. So I couldn’t have the test done that she ordered. Hence a new Urologist. There was only one man in the waiting room. I was called rather quickly. I was put in a room by a girl who was not even dressed in the proper attire. She had me take a urine sample and return to the room. She then came back in and ask if I was here for inconvenience and I said no that I wanted to talk to him about a test I was supposed to get regarding the swelling of kidneys and the build up of urine. She left the room again and came back and said Dr. Norris doesn’t need to see you, I said what! She said he looked at your Paper work and every thing looked ok. I said I never heard of a Dr. Not introducing himself, especially to a NEW patient. She said he would be taking up my time. I was dumb founded. Still am

During my visit at the office Dr. Norris did not perform any kind of exam to check for abdominal or kidney pain. He ordered a Cystography as his first form of investigation, instead of starting with something non-invasive such as an ultrasound. The Radiologist Norris referred me to advised me I was the 3rd person referred by him in 2 weeks that had a similar experience. No non-invasive approaches are taken prior to the Cystography. According to the Radiologist, is highly abnormal. The radiologist advised me that the other 2 individuals had opted out after hearing this deciding to get an alternative opinion rather than have a catheter inserted to have dye fill the bladder and while x-rays are performed. At the end the x-ray while you urinate on the table. None of this was disclosed to me by Dr. Norris when the referral was ordered.

My 13 yr old was referred to him as one of the few pediatric urologists. Office staff is super friendly, thorough, over the top, and helped me a lot! My son loved Dr. Norris for the same reason some reviews on here didn't like him. He's straight to the point, doesn't sugar coat it, has a dry sense of humor, and explained things to my son that I couldn't (since I don't have those parts, lol). Nonetheless, he didn't over explain to make us worry, and used very cautious words to ensure I didn't go over the edge in worry. I actually really liked his bedside manners and my son said he liked that Dr. didn't make it "weird" like some docs do. He did a great job with my son, and I'm really grateful.

The man was dismissive, arrogant (yeah, I KNOW you're a specialist, but people consult specialists because they need help understanding and fixing what's wrong with them, not for 10 minutes of finely-honed rudeness and condescension), and argued about whether my husband REALLY had an infection. MY HUSBAND WAS IN THE HOSPITAL FOR 5 DAYS WITH A BLOOD INFECTION, THAT STARTED OUT AS A UTI...THE SAME HOSPITAL THAT REFERRED HIM TO YOU. Had to figure out myself that he only had the paperwork from the first time Los Alamitos discharged him without treating the UTI, not the second 5 days. He treated questions as an affront to his expertise.

Had a kidney stone in 2013 but no symptoms for four weeks. He summarily looked at an x-ray and said he saw it in the ureter. I pointed out that there were many similar-looking structures scattered throughout the x-ray, but he was convinced it was there. Had the surgery, when I woke up he said he "couldn't find it" but placed a stent in there anyway. After two weeks of discomfort, stent removed, with not even an apology for performing unnecessary surgery that could have been avoided with a CT scan. Dismissive and arrogant manner to boot. Avoid.

My young child saw Dr. Norris for UTI issues. His bedside manner was arrogant, and dismissive. I waited over an hour after my scheduled appointment time just to be seen. The office was all but impossible to get a hold of before and after the exam, and their follow-up was terrible. Our PCP has been unable to reach them to get medical records transferred, and I have had to go to centers where imaging was done to get the records myself. This doctor should be coordinating care, but he does nothing. Unfortunately, he is the only option for pediatric Urology in the area for Blue Shield under certain medical groups.

Dr Norris did bladder cancer surgery on me. Before going into surgery I asked the anesthesiologist if she was aware that I had Pulmonary Fibrosis. She said no. Hadn't looked at my medical info. How dangerous that could be if there was a problem while I was under anesthesia!!! Dr Norris explained what he found and showed pictures of the cancer to my husband, but never bothered to tell me. Before the biopsy was received I asked him about his mentioning cancer in at a prior visit and he said, with a big wave of his arm "oh you have cancer". He was so insensitive & harsh I left there in tears. I mentioned that the anesthesiologist didn't know I have Pulmonary Fibrosis and he told me she didn't need to know. How scary is that. I think it's time for him to retire. Will never go back to him.

He did a unnecessary prostate surgery on my 80 year old father, when everything went wrong and my dad got a contagious urine infection and ended up in a nursing home Dr norris wouldn't return my calls or the facility calls to answer question regarding how and why my dad got this infection. He should really recommend side operating o. Seniors. He should be ashamed of himself not returning calls for an infection he caused. Never will I go to that doctor again. He is cockie too

I got a vasectomy from Dr. Norris and my son had a repair for hypo spadeus when he was about 2. Both were performed extremely well. I was able to attend a party the day after my procedure. Dr. Norris is pretty serious and straightforward, but I still joked with him some. I was pretty amazed at how well my son's surgery went. When we went in after the surgery, my son was as happy as could be. We received detailed post op instructions and had no further issues.

dr. norris is a brilliant surgeon, he operated on 2 of my sons, one was major, he has been their and my urologist for over 10 years at both offices, in all that time I have not seen him with a good bedside manner , friendly or not grouchy, one single time. The only reason we continued to go to him until recently was because he is a brilliant doctor and surgeon, otherwise he did not learn good rapport and friendliness with his patients, and they all say that, read below, at Loma Linda medical sch
