I have been a patient of Dr Piesman for approx. 12 years. Recently I had testing done, and I was told by the medical assistant that the PA would call me with my results. Well, here I sit for 2 days and haven’t heard anything from the Doctor, PA, or medical staff to send medication. I still have pain in my side. I’ve called the clinic twice yesterday and twice today and still no one returns a callback. I just don’t understand why nobody can return my calls. This clinic use to be so much better in the past years. I’m really very disappointed, but what can I say.

First colonoscopy
From the check-in to the IV start, meeting the head anesthesiologist, the Nurse Anesthetist thank you Jerry, and the assisting nurse in the room, you were very kind thank you, all very professional, understanding and made me feel comfortable. Thank you Dr Piesman for explaining the procedure and giving me good results after the procedure. All your staff was wonderful thank you. The prep was awful but worth it to get piece of mind.

Excellent Physician
Dr. Piesman was referred to me by a colleague to perform a bile duct procedure (ERCP). I was impressed by the quickness and efficiency of his staff in arranging that procedure to be done, and the skill and professionalism with which he did it. I would certainly recommend Dr. Piesman for any GI issues.

Comforting..
I'm a 51 year old lady who's very fearful of needles plus it was my first colonoscopy. I was supposed to get it done months ago but kept cancelling. Days before upto my appointment, I was so stressed out. And on the day of the procedure just minutes before Dr Piesman was to enter the exam room, I was so scared. But as he came in the room and asked me how I was doing, I looked up and saw his face with such a genuine smile that helped me calm down. I knew them I was in good hands. I still don't like needles and the fact that I have to go back in five years instead of ten, but I know that I have a good doctor that will reassure me that all is okay...??

Car salesman or Dr????...you decide... Based on all these reviews, I made an appointment with Dr Piesman. I can’t for the life of me understand how he got them. From the second I sat with the assistant, she was asking about a colonoscopy. Now, my issue had NOTHING to do with anything that would require that (& im 39!) but it seemed an absolute STANDARD question. Okay...the Dr comes in..BRIEFLY asks my issue which (imo) is not interested in. I explained I had gastroparesis which he argued if I had it....well unless 4 gastric emptying test and your previous colleague were wrong...I think I HAVE gastroparesis!! ...he ignored what I was saying and quickly moves on to the whole “colonoscopy” subject which seems to be a favorite.. I realize they are easy and pay out well but good grief...make it a little less obvious!!...he quickly rushed me out the door but not before make one last sales pitch which was for probiotics...again...NOTHING I was there for but...yeah. Moved on...better for it.

I have been with GCSA for many years (10) and Dr Michael Piesman has been my doctor. I have a chronic condition that requires periodic procedures to monitor for disease progression and possible cancer intervention. I scheduled my routine procedure a few weeks ago and got a call informing me of what my out of pocket expenses would but was also informed the anesthesia would be out sourced to Alamo City and GCSA could not tell me what that cost might be. After countless calls to both GCSA, Alamo City, and BCBS of Texas I still have no idea what they will charge me for anesthesia. My appointment has been cancelled and as such my health is at risk. I will likely need to find another doctor. Any organization that has such lack of concern for patient health and well being cannot be trusted. Roll the dice if you will but you've been warned!
