1st visit
Everyone was very friendly. The nurse practitioner was very professional and explained the surgery I will be having done in a few weeks. Since this was my 1st visit to the office, I thought I would meet Dr. Rotkis since he will be doing my surgery. Very disappointed this did not happen, The nurses at the breast center at St. Joe hospital said he was really a good surgeon and a friend of mine had emergency gallbladder surgery and said she was happy with Dr. Rotkis I decided to proceed with my surgery. I was told by my doctor that I would need to have my gallbladder removed I inquired about having this surgery also but I was not experiencing pain at this time not to worry about surgery until it became painful then have surgery done or wait till I could not tolerate pain then go to ER. I usually do not complain. I work in the health field also. I know we are extremely busy but taking the time to introduce yourself to a new patient especially when having surgery which is scary

The Real Deal!!
Had a consultation with Dr. Rotkis about an upcoming surgery. This will be my second surgery with him...totally unrelated surgeries. He is honest, caring, down to earth, upfront, explains things well, never rushes through a visit, and has a great sense of humor! Not to mention a great surgeon! I am totally at ease knowing he will be doing my surgery. I would recommend him highly!

Dr. Rotkis did an excellent job listening to my concerns and taking the time needed to make sure I understood the scope of my surgery. He and his staff are professionals that are compassionate and caring. The front office staff person makes you comfortable from the moment you walk in and the same can be said for his secretary and the nurses.

Dr. Rotkis is compassionate and did everything, I believe, humanly possible to remove my breast cancer tumor and suspicious lymph nodes. He said he would be thorough and we have confidence that he was. We felt from the first visit with him that we were in good hands.

Would recommend Dr Rotkis in a heartbeat. Very confident guy and has a wonderful staff. I was impressed with how well thought of he was from the Breast Cancer nurses to the Hospital nurses to the male nurse that was assigned to me in recovery to the elderly woman patient I met in the hallway before my surgery who was headed to his office for a follow up visit. He did a great job in my case... I wasn't sure what to expect. much appreciated

I highly recommend Dr. Rotkis. In the past 10 yrs I've had 100s of Dr. Appts., many as new referrals to help manage an inherited connective tissue disease. I've interacted with numerous doctors running the spectrum from kind-knowledgeable professional to rude pompous unprofessional who made me fear for my life. Dr. Rotkis treated me as a sister not a #, took time to listen-ask-answer questions, displayed wisdom, genuine care and competency. I'm in good hands.

Dr. Rotkis was kind, caring, respectful, and professional. He ascertained my awareness and understanding of the situation -- and my thoughts about treatment options, including surgery -- before sharing his recommendation and views. He was up-to-date on the latest research and respected the fact that I had conducted research of my own. He was willing to match me with an oncologist who share my outlook on treatment options and explained the surgical procedure in terms that I could understand.

Dr Rotkis is an amazing surgeon. When chemotherapy failed he stepped up, stepped in and saved my life. I'm sure he was sent here to do this work. I trust him with my life. Dr Rotkis is upfront and honest. He gives you great information. He is well educated in breast cancer. I am so happy with what I was left with. I have sensation in the upper story. That can't be easy with a mastectomy.Sherry is marvelous
