My 7 year old daughter had an antibiotic resistant strep infection in her skin combined with a fungal infection, we had been treating it with another doctor for a week at this point and it was going into her eye. My doctor sent me to the ER to get her on IV antibiotics and this man child of a doctor tried arguing with me that it was just impetigo and refused to treat my daughter but sure charged as if he had, he wasn't even in the room for 5 minutes and he just acted like i was an idiot. He sent me to a dermatologist who agreed with my original doctor and he almost put my daughter on IV antibiotics. It took her 4+ weeks to fully recover from the infection. The hospital needs to fire this guy.

Won’t bill our insurance
We saw Royal in the ER. This man and his shady third party billing is charging us outside of the hospitals bills itself and refusing to bill our insurance, even though it’s valid and covered.

I went to the ER after being referred from my OB. I was in intense pain my OB was worried I had a ovary twisting due to my endometriosis. When I arrived I was told by Dr. Royal that “endometriosis hasn’t killed anyone” “what do you want me to do about this” “you need to go to your OB” and “try applying a heating pad” I was already embarrassed to be going to the ER for this but the pain was something that was very concerning. This is the worst a heath care professional has ever made me feel. This doctor has definitely never learned bed side manners.

Dr Royall is one of the worst Drs I have ever seen. I took my daughter to the ER because on an accident. His bed side manner is absolutely horrible. He wouldnt listen to me at all. Never even examined my daughter, and then left after a minute and never even treated her.

I took my daughter to the ER she was in a lot of pain and could not stop getting sick. This was like her second visit to the ER and Dr. Royall was the doctor on duty both times. His bed side manner was horrible and noticed that she was here in the ER before. He ran blood work and said things were normal. If things were normal, then why is she in a lot of pain and still getting sick multiple times. He gave her nausea meds and fluids and sent her home. Long story short, she ended up going to Provo Hospital because Dr. Royall was on duty the second visit to the ER. He missed diagnosed her. The pain she was having and the constant getting sick was from a very, very bad kidney infecton. The doctor at Provo Hospital said how could he miss this. We were very disappointed in how he treated us in the ER. We come to the ER for help not to be criticized or feel like we were a bother.

My son had a soccer accident that caused him excruciating pain and had an ambulance take him to the hospital. They did x-rays on his hip and the doctor told us his x-rays looked fine. My sons hip was still bothering him so my normal so my normal Dr told us to take him to an orthopedic specialist. My son had fractured his hip! How in the heck did they miss this at the ER? insurance and my portion of his bill was $1000 for what?! To not do his job!

Dr. Royall attended to me in the ER at Mountain View Hospital in Payson. I arrived in a lot of pain and shortness of breath. He was able to quickly diagnose what was going on. I found him to be personable and accommodating. He took the time to explain the results of the CT scan they had performed during my visit. I would recommend Dr. Royall based on my experience.

Why does this guy work in the ER when he has such a disdain for people? Don't go to him. He will assume you're faking your symptoms for pain meds. You could prove him wrong by dying, but he probably still wouldn't care, because at least he wouldn't have to deal with you anymore. Worst. Doctor. Ever.

Dr royall met me with a Hello I'm not giving you anything for pain Hopefully we can get you in and out of here as quickly as we can. He's literally one of the worst positions I've had the displeasure of meeting if you go to Payson Hospital and you're under his care demand someone else, seriously anyone else.

I went into the er with kidney pain that was unbearable. The er was completely quiet and empty doctor royall walks in asks me what's wrong told him where my pain was and he asked me what I thought it would be I told him I thought it was a bad kidney infection. He left it at that he did one urine test gave me a shot that did nothing and told me to get in touch with my urologist.... it was a Saturday. Went through the whole weekend in pain turns out I had a blocked kidney full of stones.

My wife has a 5 yr. history of chronic migraines being treated successfully at this hospital. That ended tonight at the hands of " Dr " Royall. Patronizing and condescending are not words strong enough to describe his attitude. He said flat out that he did not believe that my wife was suffering to the extent that she stated. His words used suggested that she is a drug seeker. Call the ER first to nake sure that this person is not the doctor on call.

Went to the emergency room, which is in-network with our insurance. However, we were charged the full amount for his services without being told that an out-of-network doctor would be at an in-network facility. He is probably a competent physician (they couldn't diagnose a problem, but he seemed experienced), but not a friendly or communicative one. He was brusque and definitely didn't want to be there (understandable--it wasn't a fun visit, and it was after midnight).

I went to the ER with severe stomach pain and with a previous knowledge I have a couple hernias. The pain was unbearable. I was in a gown and he didn't physically assess or touch me. I explained how I was feeling and he told me he didn't know what to do, then asked me what I would like him to do. I took off my pulsometer and arm cuff and walked out, letting him know I'd bear the pain and see my family practitioner the next day. Dr. Royall is a horrible person who mocked my symptoms.

I have never been treated so poorly by a physician in my life. He was very rude when speaking to me and made snooty comments the whole time I was speaking to him. He did nothing for the pain that I was in and when I asked for Ibprofun he refused and replied and said I'm not giving you anything. He spent maybe, 5 minutes total with me. He didn't bother to exam me. When I spoke to others about my experience, they also had the same experience and like I, they will never go back.
