Those are the three words that I think of from when he was my surgeon years ago

I have ben seeing Dr. Ruddy for years. He is outstanding and his staff (especially his office manager) are extremely efficient. Recommend him very highly….

Incorrect information was provided by both the doctor and staff. It was like being in a Twilight Zone episode. I was told the doctor was waiting for his notes to be transcribed so he could review them before setting an operation date, several days later was given a date, a few days after that I was told the date was made up so pre-op tests could be ordered and I would have to meet with the doctor again to set surgery date. One of pre-op requirements was a release from my primary, so not sure why I have to meet with Ruddy to discuss the pre-op results.

Dr. Ruddy provides excellent care for his patients. You never have to wait to be seen and all services are available in his office as opposed to having to go to separate facilities for testing and treatment.

I have never been more satisfied. What a wonder staff

Loves to send you out the door as fast as possible with prescriptions in your hand and as little information about your problem as possible. Waste of time and money.

Dr Ruddy may be a great Ortho Dr but his office staff leaves a lot to be desired. It is a shame that such a well respected Dr has an office staff that treats patients as they do. There was not an friendly welcome when I arrived. Medical Administrators should know when a patient comes in. A friendly hello or friendly facial connection means everything. Quite uncomfortable for me to have to listen to the staff's personal drama instead of being welcomed into the office of a doctor who may perform surgery on me in the future.

Not a good experience. The people who work in his office staff do not address you personally nor do they communicate in a way that make you feel they care for you as a patient. The vibe that comes across is that they are busy behind that desk so they have a right to not show understanding nor caring for the patient. I'm now seeing another ortho and the difference in office staff in night and day.

Dr.Ruddy is very mild tempered and makes you feel comfortable right away. The office staff is just as nice.

Dr. Ruddy diagnosed issue as bursitis after initial X-Rays - treatment, steroid injection. Not effective - was sent for MRI - indicated Avascular Necrosis (Steroid inj. WAS NOT the right approach - steroid use can cause this condition). He excused his initial treatment - suggested bone decompression procedure to temporarily treat condition - a treatment meant to put off total hip replacement. I came to find out, as I searched for a surgeon to do THR, that this treatment has been mostly abandoned

I visited Dr. Ruddy at least three times. Every time, his X-Ray technician took numerous X-Ray films for me without any necessary explanation. I thought Dr. Ruddy would explain his diagnosis or problem with my physical problem. No, he was busy recording and taking notes explaining nothing. For three times, he had not made any comments about any possible problems that I might have. He was always in a hurry without trying to communicate with me. I am totally disappointed with Dr. Ruddy.
