Knee Replacement
Took a long time to get an appointment. My knee replacement was a failed surgery. the prothesis was installed to loose , now there is no stability and the knee gives out. He should not be doing knee replacements. My new Dr checked my leg and called it what I said - A failed replacement. I had the right knee done and thank goodness it is solid with no issues.

Complete knee replacement
Outstanding and professional surgery staff and hospital staff, to office visits, to hospital check in, to pre-surgery, to post-surgery, to information and explanations pre-surgery to post-surgery, and discharge information. Also, outstanding services and nurses while in the hospital - again, extremely professional and caring.

The very next time I meet this Dr. I'm going to be hugging him like crazy. Dr. Ryan gave me my life back. I didn't want to have hip replacement, I thought I was too young. But the time came and it could not be avoided. Dr. Ryan always listened to me, answered my million questions, and had my back all the way. I'm 3 weeks post surgery and I couldn't be happier. No infection, no complications and no hip pain at all. Thank you Dr. Ryan!! You're the best!

Couldn't have been better. It's been several years since my surgery and I've not had one pain in my hips. Both hips done. Four months apart. Never had a sign of infection , I was more than pleased with dr. Ryan. Would highly recommend him and already have ! He was recommended to me by a friend who is a PT. who worked with his patients. I give him 5 stars !!!!! Carol Peterson.

Michael Ryan "MD" was so rude and unprofessional to me! Besides already having bad reviews for his orthopedic skills, he was totally rude to me! Shame on you Ryan and shame on Kaiser!

We may get mixed reviews from various professions when trying to make a very tough decision. I have ran my own company for over 30 years physically and mentally. At age 54 I felt exhausted with the pain hip , after making this decision to have full hip replacement by Dr Ryan. I feel compelled to write this review , After just the second day of surgery I can't say how incredible great I feel my pain is less than it was before I went into the surgery room. Dr. Ryan has earned my most deepest respect, and admiration as a person and a physician very knowledgeable in his field of Medicine, and just one down terrific individual . I would recommend Dr Ryan to anybody who is seeking hip replacement ,professional, courtesy and attention to detail was so impressive I can continue to go, & on.... all I can say if you feel you are at the point of hip replacement have exhausted other options, ? I have Absolutely no regrets Carlos Laney

Not good. After surgery my knee was still bad. I could hardly walk. I tried to get an appointment 6 months after the surgery it took 5 months and that was after I reported to the complaint department and they got me my appointment. I had lot of scar tissue that had to be removed . It was removed and back to excercise Could not walk 4 blocks. My knee has very little feeling and I can not kneel on it. My family doctor wants me yo go back and see him. It will take another 6 months .

Dr. Ryan is very knowledgeable in his field. He did a knee replacement on me after exhausting all other procedures and injections. Dr. Ryan uses the latest equipment and procedures to ensure successful, infection-free results. I cannot be more happy with his services and manner. He understood the issues I was having. The only Con is that he is sooo good, his schedule fills up quickly. It's worth the wait.

I can't say enough of what a remarkable orthopedic surgeon Dr. Ryan is! He gave me my life back! When my hip became progressively worse, and affected my work (25 yrs law enforcement), it started spilling into my every day Life. Pain, limited mobility, limping, and more pain....then Dr. Ryan gave me a total hip replacement and I feel fantastic! When your Dr. is complimented by all nurses, staff, anesthesiologist, clerical, P.T., that worked with him...he is truly an expert in this field. AAA+++

I would NOT recommend Dr. Ryan! It took 3 months to get an appt. and I was miserable! When I DID see him, I didn't feel heard. I am a Physical Therapist with more than 40 years of experience. I KNEW I needed a total knee replacement (TKR). He did not thoroughly examine me (my clothes were on, he couldn't see the valgus deformity, he did not check my ROM or strength). His post-operative care was abysmal. I was loopy; in constant pain. His PA helped me get on meds that worked without loopiness.

I have had orthopedic issues throughout my life. Dr. Ryan is the best of the best. He is totally on board for his patient's well being and comfort. Dr. Ryan did a full knee replacement for me about three years ago and it is has been fantastic. Years and years of suffering are now gone. Now, I just need to do my other knee and Dr. Ryan will definitely be my doctor of choice.

Dr Ryan did a total knee replacement about 3 years ago. I cannot speak high enough about his whole approach. I've been a patient for about 8 years. Dr Ryan was AAAAA+++++++ in all regards. I'm 74 and my knee is perfect.
