Inadequate for diagnosis . Assums things even if not present. Did not spend more then 5 minutes but can document things above his level of expertise. Seems to be more interested in telling you there's nothing wrong and sends you home.

I and other members of my family have been treated in Mercy One emergency in Centerville, by DR. Sargent. He has always been kind, very informative and treated our problems promptly. I would recommend him. In our cases he has shown he knows what he is doing. My husband had a serious problem and Dr. Sargent transferred him to Des Moines, which probably saved my husbands life.

I was an ER patient one day while Sargent was working. I had severe abdominal pain and cramping due to constipation. Only after begging for tests as I had dealt with the problem for years did he have me go for a CT scan. He told me to go home and give myself an enema with the shower head. He waited until his shift was over for the nurses to give me discharge papers so that he wouldn't have to face the issue anymore. I was in the ER literally the entire day for nothing. I wasn't given any treatment by him. He acted like I had nothing wrong with me despite being in pain and having tried every medication and treatment possible. A few years later I needed surgery for my condition.
