Dr. Michael Schiano, MD

I've been with Dr. Schiano for over 20 years now and I would definitely recommend. He is always patient helpful, and knowledgeable.

Dr. Michael Schiano is the best oncologist; his team at the Women and Children’s Hospital in Charleston WV is magnificent. I arrived when they went into surgery; the second they got out, they hustled to ER for my unscheduled abdominal paracentesis. During the procedure they were super at explaining what was going to happen and as they performed each step. There were 3 on the team: 1 supervising, 1 performing, & 1 learning. They made me comfortable through what I imagined was going to be horrible; The supervising doc held my hand, so for me to squeeze during the intense moments. When the Dr tapped into my belly, it was like a water fountain stuck in the on position. It absolutely covered the supervisor’s shoes; he was impressive; never once left my side or let my hand go; We all had a good laugh as they continued which helped tremendously. I’m proud WV has such great docs. I wouldn’t have received better treatment anywhere. I highly recommend Dr. Schiano and everyone on his team.

Dr. Schiano is negligent and a terrible physician. He has a god complex. I have friends who have seen this physician as well as my own family members. In both instances, he left his patients to die, did not see them while inpatient and even called the unit to tell the family to take the patient home to die instead of doing the empathetic and proper approach of coming to the hospital to discharge the patient and speak with the family. I would not take my dog to this man!! If you care about yourself or your family members, do not let them schedule an appointment with this man. If i were not in the medical profession, and knew what to look and ask for, my mother would not have made it out of the hospital alive.

He is the best iv ever seen ..that man saved my life and he is the best at what he does ..I love him he cares how you are doing and is not fake person ..I give him a 10 out of 10..thank you

Excellent Dr.

I received excellent care and treatment. Dr Schiano was caring, professional and thorough. His staff is also excellent and professional. My follow-up care has been excellent. I highly recommend Dr.Schiano and staff.
