A real flake under the veil of Christianity
He is more concerned about covering up mistakes and pushing expensive supplements than truly caring for your overall health. I realized after a few years that I was doing all of the work! I can read my own bloodwork results, thank you. The office, I mean hen house, goes totally unchecked whereby the patient is blamed for their scheduling errors that go against their own “policy”. This happened a couple times and instead of being humble and apologize like the Christian he acts to be, he dropped me for exposing the problem (in a discrete manner). It’s also important for others to know how flaky he is - while serving on an American Army base, he threatened to drop me bc of his “insurance policy” after previously agreeing to extend my care while in Japan! Once I offered to have an Army legal team contact him, he changed his tune real quick! I could have died - as the one medication I take is not even available in Japan. Shame on him! I’m glad to be rid of this problematic practice.

Excellent Care
Dr. Mike is not a pill pusher and looks for the root of the problem. I am a very healthy 62 year old so I do not visit Dr. Mike much for sickness. I go to Dr. Mike for bio identical hormones and this treatment makes such a difference in the quality of my life.

Avoid This Doctor
After over a decade enduring Dr. Mike leaving Mercy then leaving health care and now leaving western medicine, I personally can no longer in good conscious be a patient, let alone refer patients to him. Unfortunately, I firmly believe he has become misguided and lost his way. Not to mention, he is not qualified or is even properly educated in the use of Ozone therapy.

Dr. Mike - We've been patients of yours for 10 years and you are just the absolute best! Whether day-to-day care or an issue numerous specialists couldn't solve - YOU always get to the cause of the issue. We appreciate YOU!

I had to file my own claim and it was turned down for a annual physical because the code the office used which was 99205 (The visit involves a high level of medical decision making and/or the provider spends 60–74 minutes of total time on the encounter on a single date). Dr. Schoenwalder spent no more than 20-30 minutes with me (unmasked) and there was not high level of decision making. He did not perform the functions of a physical such as listening to lungs, heart, etc.

Never had a great experience with a primary before Dr Schoenwalder. He took control over all areas of my health, addressing them all with a functional medicine approach. They take their time to truly get to know you and your needs, and you never feel rushed. While overall more holistic, prescription medications are still used when needed. While it’s a challenge not being able to bill insurance, the exceptional care from the whole office is worth it!

Quality Service all-around at Dr. Schoenwalder's office. Everyone is very upbeat, eager to take care of you, and always asks if you need anything else. Dr. Schoenwalder is interested in me - the patient- not a number. When he enters the exam room, he is totally focused on your issues/concerns and is such a great partner in supporting me in my plan to improve my overall health- body, mind, and spirit.

This man is my savior. He has worked hard to keep my hypothyroidism stable and me feeling well. He argued for a year that he thought I had or used to live with mold in my house and I was hard to convince. When I finally got tested, he was right. I just read a study that connected fungus in the brains of people with Alzheimer’s. Just wow. So glad I finally listened. He is on top of the latest medical treatments. But most importantly, he actually listens to his patients. You will not be disappointed.

Dr. Schoenwalder, Heather, Courtney, and the rest of the staff have always went over and above for myself and my husband. The level of care is unmatched. They listen, truly care, and actively look for answers for each patient's issues. The wait time is much less than most Dr.'s Ive been to as well.

I drive 2-1/2 hours to see either Dr. Mike or Kristina. They have saved me! The appointments are definitely outstanding. They take the time actually listen to you, and then come up with a treatment plan. I am amazed at this office.
