Doesn’t listen
Went to see this Dr for MS symptoms. Without any conversation or looking at any of my prior test results, he decided I have migraines (which I don’t), carpal tunnel in my right hand (which even if I do, it wasn’t a complaint I even had), and restless leg syndrome. I humored him through the most ineffective physical exam I’ve ever endured. When he tried to dismiss me with this diagnosis I asked him if he even looked at any of my tests leading up to this visit, including the imaging that shows several lesions and he stepped out of the room and looked at it, came back and apologized for missing that. Told me he was going to order more labs and imaging “but he thinks I should follow up with a gastroenterologist”. ( the lesions are in my spine). What?? Is this Dr for real??? I wish I’d have believed the reviews and avoided this man like the plague.

Terrible appointment & DR
Dr Schwartzman is by far one of the rudest & most condescending doctors I’ve ever encountered. Did not give any care to my condition and symptoms. Was very shaky and just all over the place. Would not listen to any of my concerns or questions. Would interrupt when he would ask my back story since he obviously didn’t read my chart. Never have I made a big deal about making a complaint but he went too far .

Don’t listen to your concerns. Don’t want to update any information about diagnosis. Takes an hour to get into him then only sees you for 5 minutes.

The doctor is a pompous and one of the biggest condescending people it's ever been my displeasure to come into contact with. Interrupts you when you're answering a question he asked, he talks badly about you in hallway, he's abrasive, pretentious, and rude. My chart was never correct, medications were never right (as in there was stuff on there I'd never even heard of), he constantly forgot I have fibro, TMJ, etc; he yelled at me for cussing when I said a curse word in response to something he did that really hurt, he doesn't warn you before he puts his hands anywhere (and as a SAS I am not a fan of people grabbing by jaw/face). One time I had to get in a gown for part of my visit, and my 3 kids were with me. Schwartzman was mad I wanted my feet facing the wall, not my children as I figured they shouldn't see up my gown. While I was changing they heard Schwartzman telling the nurses about how difficult I was etc. Save yourself a headache and go somewhere else!

He doesn't review the file before coming into the room. "Have you ever had an MRI?' (4 ordered by him & done in the same facility so the results are there in the folder.) "you have a diagnosis of MS, what symptoms led to that?" He did the diagnosis & after 7 years seeing him this is frustrating. He doesn't respect other doctors on conditions he is not qualified to treat & will argue with the patient directly. Scheduled an MRI & follow up appointment for 2 weeks later. Did the MRI &when I reminded him this was a follow up left the room to review it for 20 minutes. told me no changes. I broached the contrast question he abruptly cut me off & said contrast was absolutely required. I have to switch meds due to insurance so decided to find a new neuro. I learned there were several new lesions showing the medication was not managing my condition. I continued to take it for 3 years. He treats his patients as if we are stupid & unimportant and may have even put my health at risk.

The most awful doctor's appointment ever. Although Dr. Schwartman has a horrible bedside manner, I could get past that if the physician and the appointment goes well - this was NOT the case! I found him to be rude condescending to me, my daughter and as well as to the technician. I have never called a doctor's office to complain and this time I did.

After a 3-month wait to see him, he did a good exam, told me one situation I had was abnormal, said he'd refer me to an audiologist whose office would call me. Then I was to see him again. Took 10 vials of blood. I have not heard from an audiologist nor had any test results. I called once (hard to get anyone who knows anything) & they said the audiologist referral had never been turned in. Test results are NOT on Patient Portal. Nurse said she'd ask permission to call me with them & never has.

I have seen Dr. Schwartzman twice. He ordered an MRI and lab. He did not review the results with me. When I inquired he walked out of his office, turned his back to me, and stated "essentially unchanged" (from a previous MRI). I have new symptoms that have not been addressed. His office called me to let me know that he may not be able to see me at my next appointment because he is the "on call physician" - they called me 1 week prior to my appointment that I had been waiting for for over 6

He did not bother to request and read all medical care after a TBI that I suffered over a year. Focused in treating two issues that were not the reason of the visit. When I asked about who could help me he stated he did not know; I was very upset and told him that it was ridiculous. Somebody from his office called days later. One thing is for sure, my bill was processed as a new patient. If he could not help with my main neurological issues he shouldn't have taken me as a patient.
